If you paid the $3, it may not have updated yet. The next time you login or use the app you shouldn't have adds.

I agree unless you watch Prime Videos all the time the extra $3.00 is not worth it. I don't have Prime, but I'm not willing to spend extra money to avoid 30 second to 1 minute ads when I can just get up and do something in that time like get a drink and return before all the ads are done.

If all the ads were at the beginning of movies and shows that would be great. But so far with me the ads are sprinkled throughout at different times.

When a video plays you will see notches along the timeline indicating ad breaks.

if amazon wanted to do an ad tier, they should have priced that tier Cheaper than their premium tier and left that one untouched... pulling features like atmos/dolbyvision and then injecting ads and pushing the solution to be an extortion fee was Idiocy at its best by amazon..

I can’t find where to pay the $2.99. I tried it with ads and it’s horrible

You should have a section at the bottom left that says "ads" and can select it to pay the $2.99. I think I showed that in my video at one point.

You’ll still get ads.

With ads you don't get Dolby vision or Dolby Atmos without ads you get Dolby Atmos

At the time of this recording, I don't think they had released that information yet. It changed slightly after the first few days I believe.

No this is not how you should evaluate or measure if the service is still worth paying or not. You have to start watching something and see how often the ads would pop up. The length of ads aren't as disturbing as the frequency. Also, factors like the volume level of ad sounds vs the volume of the chosen streaming contents would be another important factor for many. Some people might argue, none of these are negatively as important as the nature of what Amazon, as a multibillion dollar company has planned for millions of its loyal subscribers!

Interesting point of view. I can agree, as much as Amazon makes they could skip this. I know with other streaming services you get ads when you fast forward, it also shows you where the ads are. Maybe Amazon's is different though, I would not think so but definitely could be.

Torrents.. . I mean why wouldn't you?

That's what I used to use, till I got an letter from my Internet provider. I use newsgroups/nzb. The same but your Internet provider can't catch you since it uses an SSL.
