@@MarlaKrisohja, the pain was real! too much buffering and acetone! it was my first time 'doing nails', and I was so enthusiastic, because it worked so well 😂 it was a learning for life!!!!

Sadly, I definitely developed dip flu with the Azure liquids (which is a shame, because I loved them and their fast drying time). I'll also admit that I've managed to contaminate them, but to be fair, they were the liquids I used when I first started dipping and didn't know what I was doing fully. Haven't contaminated liquids in years now.

@@MarlaKris I did. I've been using the odorless liquids from Kimberz Kreations with no dip flu. Sadly, she has decided to shutter her business at the end of the month, so I've stocked up with enough to last a while. She did recommend someone with a comparable formula (can't remember who off the top of my head), so people should have a backup.
That glitter really is gorgeous. ❤ I was really excited to see a video from you today. Is it a bonus? Do we get another one tomorrow?

@@gwens5781 I find with the azure liquids I don’t have to BUT you can’t “over activate” so if you’re more comfy activating twice, you won’t hurt anything!
May I ask.? What is your experience with a peel off base coat under dip powders? I have a client who is elderly and wants her nails done for her grand daughter’s wedding. She has thin nails and an auto immune disorder. I want to be able to take her nails off after her big event. I don’t want to put gel on her or acrylic. Just trying to come up with a solution for her that will be the least invasive if that makes any sense.

@@brendabeston65 peel off base reacts differently for everyone based on natural biology and water exposure. For me, peel base only lasts a day - maybe 2 before they’re popping off which should be perfect for her!
The only dip liquids I’ve used recently are the beetles ones, and they ALWAYS crack on me. 😢 is the azure similar to beetles, or would it be a good jump to go to azure? I have so many dip colors just waiting to be used. 😂

So, cracking usually happens for specific reasons: could be the overlay is too thin, could be not a high enough apex for your nail length, could be trauma. It’s not usually the products. Let’s talk it out and see if we can figure it out together!

@@MarlaKris it’s always on the ends but like right below the quick, not just chipping. And I usually do 3-4 layers so that it’s thick enough. Definitely could be an apex thing, but I have a pretty defined one naturally. It drives me crazy because I’m a licensed nail tech (out of practice for about 5 years though) and I can’t figure it out. 😂

@@calliebergeron9101 ooh that’s super helpful. Definitely stress fracture! Try the apex method! Start building the dip in from that stress point to the edge. Gradually work up in layers. May take 4-5 dips to get there but I bet that does the trick!
