Amazon stopped being cool years ago. I cannot even send a return from my town any more. I need to drive 30 miles to do this now. I have a hard time returning items also.

I don't use them often, and never for big ticket items, but if they ever screw me over, that's it.

That crossed my mind until I realized that I wasn't the only person this happened to.

I order car parts of amazon and thankfully have gotren the correct parts. My dad actually shops on temu and has gotten everything that he ordered and typically faster than anything I've ordered off amazon.

I would never trust Amazon, ebay, etc for specifications they advertise esp from small sellers. There are no repercussions for false advertising.

There are definitely untrustworthy sellers on there for sure. At first I thought maybe it was the post guy but then I stopped thinking that once I saw the others were being treated by Amazon the same way. Who throws out a return without even taking a picture?

Amazon is definitely a lost cause here in the UK it's surprising to see the rest of the world is affected by this sort of thing. I've sworn amazon off after getting multiple fake items even for more niche stuff like corsair keyboards. I've also bought a pair of airpods pro 2s straight from apple's amazon page and after taking them into the physical apple store I find out they're fake... they really lost their way man. Even my incense isn't safe, they were fake too LOL I always do my due diligence in finding a reputable store (mostly official stores) and still that isn't enough to receive genuine products. Also the prices are way too high storewide in the uk at least. I tend to go to offical sites nowadays and I'm still paying a high price but at least I know I'm getting real stuff.

They should have a receiver (clerk receiving the return), then the inspector or quality inspector checks it next and verifies what the item received was. Pictures shoukd be taken and initialed. Not just tell the customer its not the same. Boycott Amazon until they change their policies to this. THis is so not right. Thank god i just shop on Ebay and never really liked Amazon even then.

You're absolutely right! They should be documenting things... But they don't and the reason why is because the items that we're returning are the exact same items and they are in perfect condition. They want to keep the item and the money. I'm so glad that you haven't had to deal with this personally! 🙏
