Thank you for this review! I don’t have naturally curly hair...mine is more of a 2b situation but I haveI been thinking of investing in a hooded dryer. I dress vintage and I do a lot of wet sets (putting in rollers when my hair is still wet) in order to get those old Hollywood curls. Because my hair is so thick and I have so much of it no matter if I leave the rollers in for like 12 hours my hair will still not be completely dry when I take the rollers out, so when I go brush out the curls my hair just straightens out. What I do have is one of those dryer caps that you can attach to a blow dryer, which I hate because it’s so close to my scalp that it leaves it very very dry and my skin will peel (not cute). I like your review it was very practical and straight to the point! I think I may end up purchasing this same model, on top of everything the price seems right lol keep up the awesome vids :)

Love the fro!💕💖 my hooded dryer doesn't get the roots before it gets the tips too hot. I like the diffuser better to dry my roots and the tips take care of themselves.

Diffusers always make my hair frizzier, which is cool if I’m going for big hair, but sometimes I’m going to definition and that’s where my hooded dryer comes into play 👌🏾❤️

Hey cousin! My friend has one. I was the first one to use it after helping her put it together. She did a flexi rod set on me. The angle I had to get used to but the tip you gave makes a lot of sense. The ding got me too 😂😂😂 I did not experience any heat pain at the top of my head like I normally do with my sit on the table hair dryer but I think knowing the temperature makes the difference.

They’re so top heavy for real tho! A lot of people were saying theirs fell over and broke! I’m SUPER clumsy so I’m always tip toeing around it trying not to bump it 😒

Nice review. I have a similar one and I do love it. I just love having dry hair the same day. However I do hate how much space it takes. Specially the way the legs are designed. Those 4 legs are not helpful when I want to put it behind the sofa against the wall while drying my hair. On top off that they are quite high, instead off being low on the ground. I also hate the noise. Can’t even watch tv in piece. 😂 Appart from that it’s all good. But if we do have some girls studying to become engineers, please create something that we can store away and fit our ( not mine) big heads. Thanks for the wet towel tip. I really need that. 🌻🌻🌻

Love your video and very helpful. Im new to the hooded dryer at home and have this model. it flattened the top of my hair and didnt really dry the lengths. Maybe its how i sit under it. Are you able to show how to sit in it for me? Also I was thinking of plopping my hair and then sitting in it. Is this a good option? Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Cousin I have that same dryer, from amazon as well. I like it. I don't have as much hair as you but remember when your hair is wet and has product on it, it's not stretched yet etc your hair should fit under. My experience is it dries nice and even, gets hot but lawddddddd the timer I can do with out. But for the price point and the effectiveness I like it.

My bonnet hooded roller dryer definitely has been drying out the top part of my hair? So putting the paper towel wet underneath while it’s drying I am going to try that’s too thank you

I love my hooded dryer!!!! Anyone doing wash n goes that doesnt own one is failing. I bought the warranty frm amazon too bc my last one i backed into and it tipped over and broke.... mine isnt that big but mine is a bit wider so my head plus hair isnt smashed...

Does this dryer sucks your hair upwards, I was reading a couple reviews from amazon and some people mentioned that. Have you experienced this ?

What do you do to prevent heat damage? Do you use the cool setting?

You can't get head damage from using a hooded dryer

Ok so I have this dryer too and I’m on the fence about it. To dryer the bottom of my hair, i just open it up and point it to the bottom. But I just don’t like the angle of it!....

I have this hooded dryer too! The one thing I can’t stand is that it blows my hair into a weird shape in the back right section. I think it’s due to the fan being placed there. Overall, I like it for now. When I grow a little more, I might get a better one 🤗. Oh and by the way, I LOVE the back ground of your video 😍.

Yeah a lot of people have been saying that about the blowing! I haven’t really experienced any blowing except for when I’m blow drying my fro and my hair is really full, but other times my hair is so weighed down by my gel the blowing really doesn’t move my hair 😅😂❤️

Mary Maxine I had the same issue because the air pulls upward causing your hair to stick up. I started using a hair net and it solved the problem 🙂

Never again will I buy a hooded dryer that sits on the table. Both of my hooded dryers broke before summer started, so I’m on the hunt to buy a hair dryer before fall comes. I need one that can handle being moved from room to room.

I store it in my bathroom closet. I personally don’t have to break it down. But it’s pretty easy to take apart. However, regardless, the head the rather large.

Cousin yo head can't be bigger than mine😂😂 I am on the hunt for a good hooded dryer! Im bout to run over to amazon right now and hunt this thing down! The memes be killing me girl🤣 But I literally am gone be thinking something in the oven bout to catch on fire everytime I hear this thing😂 *update: its out of stock😩

The only reason that the dryer has a bell alert is purely when you are in a. salon so that you know that your patrons time under the hood is lapsed this dryer even though it is relatively inexpsive is normally used in a beauty salon environment, not normally in a home environment, needless to say I also have a similar dryer at home myself, and personally now that Iam used the bell at the end of the drying time I can not fault the dryer for its cost, it is a very good entry level salon dryer, naturally the more you pay the more upmarket dryer you get.

Oh ok! Yeah, that’s pretty much the exact same blow dryer I had previously only mine was from Babyliss Pro. The only thing I didn’t like about that one was the sound (like you said it’s loud and I like to sit under the dryer at night while I edit) and I had like “set” heating options (I think mine only had 3 tho). I can do without the timer on mine, but I really enjoy being able to easily make it super hot or cool without having the blow dryer get louder on me because I turned the setting up lol That’s a good option tho if people need more head space! 👌🏾❤️
