Those look very nice and lively. Euros are similar to RWs as far as feeding goes but they are nightcrawlers that like to go deeper in the ground and should have twice that amount of bedding. Another thing to consider if you want them to breed more is putting about 100 per that sized bin. Earthworms will not reproduce unless their living conditions are ideal, offering ample food and space, along with the basic essentials of proper pH, oxygen, moisture, and temperature.

I ordered 1000 European night crawlers from uncle Jim’s and they will be two bags of 500 so will put 500 per 27 gallon tote.

You weren't happy with the packaging condition early in the video. Next time order them from Uncle Jim's Worm Farm instead of a secondary vendor. You'll be much happier

How many worms did you order? Not how many you got but how many did you order?
@zenyrgarden78594 жыл бұрын
would you recommend keeping the worms in a Stryofoam box? I’ve seen some folks do this (for costs mostly) and am thinking about it.

Zenyr Garden as cheap as totes are, I would not use anything else.

The worms you might be finding in your yard are possibly Asian jumping worms which are difficult to keep alive indoors. Do they go nuts and flail about when you touch them?

No, these are regular old nightcrawlers. They stay alive in refrigerator but I can’t keep them any other way.

@@justtinkering6054 Ok cool, I grabbed the 1000 count says its about 2.5 pounds. What style jigs do you like with these worms? Are you more into crappie and other panfish or more into bass fishing? I like a single worm on a small hook and a med-size split-shot about 18 inchs up for big gills and perch.

@@jasond5807 I did very well with these worms last season, walleye fishing, with "Northland Tackle Whistler jigs". I think they are the perfect sized fishing worms. Not too small, like red wigglers can be. Not too big like Canadian crawlers are. Good luck fishing. Hopefully you don't get locked down. I just heard Indiana will be implementing travel restrictions. Emergency traffic only. Doubt I'll get away with hauling the boat down the road. Real bummer.
