These simple devices make sense , but flying drones to deliver packages overhead... cars that drive themselves... those things are friggin scary to me.

I just got mine and I love it!

Just set mine up. Nice addition to the Alexa devices

No use of timer, No use of notification lights.. This is just a wall clock. I want my wall clock should show me outside + inside temperature, a camera with cloud storage + day, date and if possible *time.* If u like to make it more advanced then show the live video whenever someone ring the door ball

Cool "toy" clock. Another device for the Echo/Alexa ecosystem. :) Might go echo/Alexa some day. :)

Well - If I shouldn't touch the hands then I should not be able to touch the hands. That said a $30 decent size wall clock which will set itself (and keep itself set I'll assume) via internet time is a steal. I don't know why but clocks which do this are still insanely expensive it seems. The multiple timer thing seems a little visually confusing here. I suppose it is worse though as displayed here with one of the timers counting within the last minute. Otherwise the timers would just show at their respective minute marks I guess and so it would be more easily seen. It would be fun just to have to ask any kids who stop by if they can read the time on it. LOL. The pairing/setup was very slick.

They did it, they REALLY did it.

i've got lots of echos including the Show and Dot but I seriously don't see the point of this!

@Morgan West The Show has gotten better about keeping timers on the screen, but sometimes there is just something nice about seeing something bigger, more visual for a timer.

The clock is helpful in a way, if you’ve got an echo show or Spot then the clock can be kind of useless. It’s helpful if maybe you’ve only got an echo dot or nothing.

Benefits of this clock: • You can know the time without opening your mouth - just move your eyes. • Since the clock is connected to the internet, the time will be synced with the time on your phone. • You won't have to pull the clock down and change the time for daylight saving time. You might not find these benefits worth the price, but for $30 it seems like it might be pretty good.

I had to manually sync mine, while it synced to my echo, when it set the time, was still a minute off, so had to move my minute hand by 1 minute, so may need a slight manual sync of hands.

can we use it with mobile device by installing alexa from play store.

I believe the warning is to not move the hands yourself since they move for you.

O hope in the next generation it will work as an Alexa on its own so we can put 9n in like our living room

Would make decent alway accruate kitchen or workshop clock but needs to be a little cheaper since it's a plain look.

With the echo wall clock, what happens if u set up an alarm by saying “Alexa, wake me up at 7:00”

@Dave Katz : If you’d like to make it easier on your viewers to watch your videos about the echo, consider using a notch (band reject) filter to remove or significantly attenuate 3,000 to 6,000 Hz audio while the keywords are spoken. The word will be audible to viewers, but will be ignored by the echos.

I was wanting the numbers to be backlit as well. Maybe in the second version they'll add that feature, but I would imagine it would have to be plugged in at that point due to the extra power it would be using. Hmm!

I don't mind plugging it in. :) But this version is definitely still pretty cool and am tempted to buy it but I don't think I would use it as much as I would like. A constantly lit numbered display is what I am looking for. We'll see what they do in the next version. Thanks Gron!

I bought the wall clock but when I ask Alexa to set up my echo wall clock but Alexa say I don't know. I tried this so many times but Alexa never recognize it. What to do ??

i have enough smart bulbs and LEDs around the house that i can be creative with routines and colors/blinking/brightness/etc. and do this myself or better (instead of using the Wall Clock).

This is out of hand! Doesn't anyone see they are slowly but surely going to really fuck us over with all these 'smart home' devices.

They really could have done a better job with colors for simultaneous timers, instead of keeping everything blue and overlapping. Doesn't seem very well thought out.

What makes more sense, telling tens of thousands of your viewers to mute their echos, or you, just one person, editing out the word Alexa before uploading your video? Hint, it’s the second thing.
