Amazing White Laser Experiments!!!
Ғылым және технология
Laser р0rn!! Here I build a full color RGB white laser, as well as experiment with the beam using prisms and mirrors.
In this video I build a full color RGB laser using red, green, and blue lasers. I use an analog driver based on the LM317, and combine the beams using an X-cube. The resulting laser can make white, yellow, aqua, magenta, purple and many other colors. The white laser beam can then be split back up with prisms and diffraction gratings, as I show in the video. I then build a white laser based on just two colors, yellow and cyan, and then in the end of the video I show some TRIPPY effects with a laser time tunnel.

“even though the amount of colors it can produce is infinite, it still can not produce all possible colors” that screwed me up
@PinkShades
5 жыл бұрын
It's easier to visualize on a number line. There are an infinite amount of decimal numbers between 0 and 1, but that range is also finite. It's simultaneously both infinite and not depending on the context. If each colored laser contains a range of possible values from 0 (off) to 1 (fully lit) then really, the amount of "colors" a single laser diode can also be infinite. I think the more correct term is combinations, not colors, because everything you see from a combination of RGB lasers is still not the full spectrum. It's almost like the difference between digital audio and analog audio. _Almost._

@Tetrahedrony I wasn't replying to you. I know what you said, and I don't care what you said. It was stupid. First, black isn't a color, it's the absence of light. Second, 0 to 1 is not a list, it's a range. You can probably find your IQ in it if you look hard enough.

That 'time tunnel' effect is very groovy with an RGB laser!!! :-) When I was 12 or 13, I built a Lissajous projector out of nothing more than two long-throw loudspeakers, two pieces of broken mirror, and a bit of household adhesive tape. At its heart, I had a Metrologic ML-800 HeNe laser that had an output of a staggering 0.5mW. :-O I remember playing some songs by Pink Floyd (from the album, "The Wall") through the projector's speakers and being mesmerised by the patterns that it created on the wall. :-)

That is a hard pronunciation of 'infinite'.
@BrianC1664
4 жыл бұрын
it is an unusual pronunciation, but I suspect it's the correct way now that I think about it. Every other in* word is literally the word with 'in' prefixed to it, yet finite is pronounced fi-nite yet when it's infinite we change it to inf-in-ite, for some reason the break in the word moves from fi to fin which doesn't make sense, every other word i can think of the syllables don't change (valuable/invaluable, appropriate/inappropriate, audible/inaudible etc...)
Gosh that cone demo at the end was so mesmerizing!! So cool to learn even more about light and optics from you!

I remember making my first lissajous laser scanner out of pieces of broken mirror, tape, and two (fairly long-throw) loudspeakers around 1979 or 1980. The laser source that I used was a Metrologic ML-800 HeNe laser, and I drove the speakers from the spkr. out receptacles on my JVC RC-M70 ghetto blaster. If the music being played through it had good stereo separation, some pretty wild patterns could be generated from this contraption. :-)

I also know number e up to 15 decimal places! e ≈ 2.718281828459045. Go along and check it! Thanks for the video! Incredible work! Kudos to you too
Yay!!! What yonder ray of light bursts forth from stormy clouds surrounding, to bring us ingenuity and diodes of enlightenment. That among such things as KZread bans, there are some silver linings. That this exists. A sign, there is hope. There is still, beaming. A radiant intelligence.
"Oof".... The f*cking sticker's labeled "Oof"...
i think i may have found my new favourite channel on youtube... i think your videos will help me with some of the things i want to do in life! I hope i can show you one day!
Truly beautiful and mesmerizing...!
I love not getting notifications for one of my favorite youtuber
Thought of dark side of the moon as soon as you grabbed the prism

Love your experiments.
Have you played the game "Glass"? Your setup here reminds me a lot of it.
"Do not pipet liquids by mouth" Don't tell me what to do!
*Just casually explains the physics behind the spectrum of visible light* *Just casually makes his own driver circuit for 3 diodes with a dimmer function* *Just casually makes a white laser* I genuinely hope I have as strong a understanding of physics when I get older, with or without help, as you do
I love your laser "experiments", wish I knew a 1/4 what you do on lasers.
YT didn't notify this video to me in ANY way and I have the bell ringing.
