Amazing Tilapia Farm - Tilapia Fish Harvesting technology - Automatic Fish Processing Line Machine
Ғылым және технология
Tilapia has become the third most important fish in aquaculture after carp and salmon; worldwide production exceeded 5.5 million metric tons and increases annually. Because of their high protein content, large size, rapid growth (6 to 7 months to grow to harvest size), are the focus of major aquaculture efforts.

When I was a kid, my cousins and I used to wake up at 5 a.m. just to go fishing at a lake next to the ocean. Sometimes we would catch tilapia. Some other times catfish or crabs. Some of our catch would be for sale and the rest for us to cook and eat in this hut they owned next to a river. Beautiful childhood.

I've been a fish vendor at 12 years old. I grow my own livestock. I've also been a Rice farmer. Then became a pork supplier at 14. Then at 15 years old, I turned to vegetables, borrowed a mountain to plant vegetables, super hard because I was alone at 16. Then I also turn to strawberries because it is too hard to grow. The reason why I left school and turned to work is because I had a fight with my grade 7 school teachers. I said that I don't need school to make money. Then they said "prove it then!". My parents got angry and cut me of the family tree. That's why I keep on growing my business to prove to them that I don't need a degree to be successful. I'm not here talking to you right now if it wasn't for Tilapia. The fish that made me succeed my goal at the age of 18. I continued my school last year at the same school, the same teachers who are amazed of how I proved them wrong. Of course, I went in ALS so I'm not grade 7. I'm a sinior high school.

wow nice content of tilapia farm & workers of fish farm so hard workers
I always wondered how they raised Tilapia. When I first started seeing Tilapia in the markets and stores around here I refused to eat it because I had seen some very disparaging remarks about it on social media and being from the East Coast of Canada was brought up eating a very different type of fish ,but ,curiosity and common sense overcame my fear and I took some home to try. It is now a staple of my diet and I find it especially good in things like sweet and sour fish , almost anything with a sauce also.

If you think growing fish with fish pellets in an over crowded pond with little to no filtration is ok then keep on buying it. It’s not the fish itself, it’s how they’re raised. Fish that eat pellets and swim around in a dirty pond aren’t as healthy to eat as wild caught fish. Wild fish eat many different things that are usually fresh or alive. Farm fish eat mostly dry pellets which is not comparable to fresh or live food.

From the perspective of an European country where fisheries are imbalanced and impoverished than yes, such approach to eat artificially raised fish could be praised. But Blair, you live in Canada! @@HeyUncleA // Please understand, your comment regarding "pellets" simply isn't true; in fact they're beneficial to most fish. As an engineered food they consist of fish meal [ground fish], marine plant proteins, and vitamins; including minerals containing carotenoids and the natural pigments found in plants that fish can absorb. These elements aren't present in every meal for fish in a natural environment like they are for those raised on farms. I admit, your point re: "the water" is valid, yet it should be noted; there's always "good, better, best" in all arenas of business and lakes.

@Fahq Google That's nothing. They are the only fish out of over a dozen species to still be able to thrive in the Salton Sea. Little oxygen, incredibly high salinity even that no ocean fish can survive, lots of pollutants from farm irrigation runoff, 100+ degree surface temperatures in the summer, near freezing temperatures during the winter. Yet the Tilapia manages to squeak out an existence in the hostile Salton Sea

I am a chef in USA and stopped using tilapia 20 years ago because it tasted like KORN and corn fertilizer! But for the past 3 years I have been eating it again as it is better. When I raise fish I make sure to have a powerful light bug zapper to rain down protein to the fish for better flavor. Chickens, too. Even just a big dead carp or some organic garbage in a firm closed plastic bag with a small home juked in the bottom and secured from a dock or post in the water will rain maggots into the pond. Super important for good flavor. Corn and soy is not enough.

Fish meat taste seems to be very sensitive to what is consumed. Also the surrounding conditions. As a sportsman fisherman, There are certain lakes I will stay away from if I plan upon eating the fish. There are some lakes that the fish taste weedy, others that taste muddy during the warm season. During winter, there seems to be no notable difference.

I mostly culture IMC in my farm all using natural methods. All natural medicines like turmeric , salt mustard oil etc , natural feed like BSF , earthworms , grass etc. Water is kept oxygenated and clean using waste decomposer... and the fish are sold before harvested. And Tilapia is a good fish but not much in demand here.
Best for sweet and sour tilapia dish are the small to medium ones and the larger ones are good for grilling or broiling with calamansi.and soysauce for dipping. Yummy but not for the tilapia haters hehe

Indian govt. should try this as a project and want to study the pro and cons of this project to find out suitable for Indian environment. If it’s successful then bring awareness to the coastal area people to do business. Since many of fishermen can’t afford deep sea boat fishing this will be good alternative.
