Please don't ever stop making content. I'm not sure if it's because I spent my first 18 years in Houston, but your personality and content are so inspiring. I love EVERY video and you've inspired me to start my own native plant garden up in Central Texas. You're amazing.
Perfect Houston personality. This stuff is gold

Once it gets established, that passion fruit is going to take over that small side yard.
Never stop making content bro I look forward to these videos and they help me get my mind off things! Hope all is well!
How do you still have any garden to put more plants in after all these videos?

I have a bigger than average sized lot and I’m going to keep adding plants until the whole area is completely packed. The freezes actually haven’t killed much. Maybe 2 plants

Paul, would love to see garden updates showing a panorama view! The garden is looking great

Hello!! Still a long way to go for sure!
That was really quick!! Glad you put in 2 American Beauty berries! However, you put them too close to the fence! My beauty berry is 8 ft tall and 6 ft around. You have to let the branches grow out gracefully to the sides all the way around the plant because it droops gracefully. 💜☂️

I had only 2 feet of space to put them in that area. I also have 5 more I previously planted in ample space a few years ago so we’re good!
nice!
U should do a garden tour or garden updates
I’m having a hard time with the natural leaf mulch 😅. But I’m liking the idea of free!
native american seed company is a great option for someone on a budget, though they sell mostly seeds.
Yes. That passion fruit will grow crazy. I had one from a clipping. Took 4 years to produce a delicious harvest.

I always love to see the overlap of plants you have and I have in Jamaica. I have the same plantain you just planted the passion fruit beside, and I have passion fruit too!

Go to Jimbos, it’s in Santa Fe. They have some Native plants there. Get a sabal minor palmetto.

I also live in Texas zone 9, but I wish I knew where I could get some of these native plants. I am like 2 hours away from Houston, and I never see any of these natives here at our garden nursery.

Fantastic plant choices Paul! I've been following your channel for a while now, and it's been great to see your transition to more and more natives. I'm in Houston Texas too, trying to do what I can to transform my yard into a lush oasis, give my channel a peep brother.

Be careful with purchases from big box stores... I have a friend who purchased plants labelled as "butterfly weed" (native) from home depot, but when they bloomed they realized that they were non-native tropical milkweed.

Tropical milkweed is fine to use as long as you cut it down to the ground in the late fall
