    Before you go running yarn through your high price sewing machine, you need to understand the repercussions of doing something so idiotic. The lint buildup in your machine undercarriage can & does cause permanent mechanical & electronic damage to your machine. As well, it can completely break your bobbin mechanism, cause damage or broken needles, which also cause damage to the shaft & inside the stitching arm. And, repairs on today’s sewing machines can cost more than the machines themselves! If this is something you really want to try, keep the yarn out of the bobbin casing all together! Get a couching foot, trace your yarn design of the right side of the fabric, refer to your manual for tension adjustments, and run your yarn through your couching foot! DO NOT BOBBIN EMBROIDER ON AN EXPENSIVE MACHINES!

    Thank you! I was mesmerized by the video but was skeptical. I have previously messed up my sewing machine alignment, and have accidentally poked some holes in my plastic bobbin case, I didn't think this looked like a sewing machine smart idea. A $100+ sewing machine repair is mutch more expensive than investing in a couching foot.

  • @Nacho-Mamma

    @Nacho-Mamma

    @@Sophia-Sews Exactly! A couching foot can run from $8 to $20 at the most. And, repairs from this can run several hundred dollars. So, it’s just not worth it.

    Attention ! Ce type de machine n'est absolument pas prévu pour supporter de la laine dans le boîtier de canette. D'autre part, le réglage de la vis du boîtier de canette est à faire réaliser par un technicien avec un appareil de mesure. Il n'est donc pas judicieux de le dérégler. Enfin, on ne tire jamais le tissu vers l'arrière pour coudre, ça risque de tordre d'aiguille, de provoquer des impacts d'aiguille sur la plaque, voire de casser l'aiguille.

    Se puede aflojar el tornillo y no necesitas un técnico para que lo haga. Yo armo y desarmo mi máquina, la limpio, aceito y la mayoría de las modistas lo hacemos. Conociendo bien nuestra máquina lo podemos hacer. Eso lo aprendí en la escuela donde hice un curso de corte y confección. Lo primero es conocer la máquina,su uso y cómo mantenerla. Nunca la use con lana. Si con hilo grueso. Siempre va debajo el hilo grueso. Saludos desde Entre Ríos,Argentina.

    Thanks for showing this technique. This reminded me that I should try it. On your video it shows that you are pulling the fabric to make it sew faster; at least that os how it appears to me. For preventing needle breakage and needless wear on your machine, let the sewing machine pull the fabric. You can always speed up the video for us viewers. Thank you for sharing this technique!

    A mi no me parece conveniente desajustar la máquina. Tira de la tela porque sinó no avanza, está forzando.

    A can of “keyboard cleaner” (air) would work great. Always clean your bobbin area…i couldnt believe how dirty/linty that can get after even one project!

    @@GrammaPatriot Try using a vacuum cleaner instead with a small hose. It works much better than blowing dust all over and deeper into the machine like you do with an air can

    Buy another Bobbin case before you try it. That’s standard procedure for any thicker thread/yarn/twine
