Amazing Polymer Clay Tutorial: Atlantis Medallion Pendant Tutorial

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today I'll show you how to create a faux enamel effect on polymer clay. I absolutely love how this effect looks. Play around with different clay colors, textures and alcohol inks to get different looks. Have fun and let me know how it goes.

Something I must comp,I ent you on is the cleanliness of your hands and fingers! Your hands are always clean and never have I seen anything dirt or grime under your nails! Thank you for taking the time to present yourself I. Such a clean manner! I have actually had to stop watching some artists because they don’t take the time to at least clean their bloody hands!!! I can’t stand to see dirt and gunk under someone’s fingernails when they know they are going to be having their hands on camera! I know some people probably think im a bit petty but I can’t help it… anyway… thank you! And I LOVE your creations!

I don't sell the necklace on my shop. It's just a mix of chain, a bail and a clasp that I put together a while back.

I loved it. The design & the colors are my favorite 😍 Another fantastic video, Samantha, thank you!😊 I have some questions like normal. 1. If you make an item with two different items, example: clay & the zinc powder. One bake at 175 degrees U.S.A. FOR 15 minutes . The powder bakes 300 degrees for 1 hour. Which one do I follow? I'm sure you will say the 300 but doesn't that risk burning the item? 2. Why is it when I bake my items, they never get hard when it's just clay? Any ideas? Tyvm for your time & trouble

Hmmm. I think the difference in temperature might be too high to mix these two. The clay will burn if you bake it at or around 300 and the zinc powder I'm assuming won't melt if it's bake anywhere below 250. You'll probably need to experiment a bit and see if it can work.

hi ... Please, I wanted to ask you about polymer clay, after hardening it in the oven, is it a hard plastic like bakelite or like ceramic (I want a result similar to bakelite to withstand shocks more) Is it suitable?

  • @JessamaTutorials

I've never heard of bakelite so I'm not sure how it compares to polymer clay. I do know about ceramic though and polymer clay isn't the same. It's a plastic so it's quite durable if that's what you mean by shocks. If you mean electricity then I'm not sure. It would probably burn.
