    Hi, very nice experiment! Very interesting and unique end result. I would love to see the crackle design by itself not hidden by the outer layer of crossing lines. I think it would be a really beautiful way to do faux stone like amethyst with it. Start with dark purple fading into light purple and then translucent with light purple or white crackle. Great job, ignore haters.

    I would like to see this technique without the parts crossing over it. It kind of looks like a pie. It’s a neat idea that would probably look good over a solid color but I think it hides the bottom layer which looks beautiful. Is cernito your favorite polymer clay? If so why is that? I’ve never heard of it until I saw your videos. In my area we only have sculpey, Kato, and fimo.

    Thank you so much for your thoughts. I think you are right that it would look better without the parts crossing over. I love Sculpey Premo , and lately I try a lot the Cernit Clay .

    I really liked the heat gun technique, I've never seen that before. That's so smart! Like the other comments, I think the lattice gold on top takes away from the beautiful crackle effect. It's just too thick and chunky. Maybe a little gold leaf on the translucent clay before you add the crackle color would be nice. Then you would see some specks of gold through the cracks! Either way, it's a cool technique, thanks for sharing!

    Ty for the video! Is there a reason you put the baked clay in water and sand? Instead of sanding dry?

  • @annibeden4714

    @annibeden4714

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes sanding dry creates more friction which means more heat, which im guessing polymer clay can get burnt. This is my conclusion only because I learned when polishing or sanding rocks its much easier to do while wet. Also sanding wet is much better and easier on your sanding tool and greatly extends life of the sanding bits. I am also thinking sanding wet may making it possible for her to run dremel at higher rpm without damaging piece and can get work done faster. Just my thoughts! Have a great day!
