Another way is.... Dip that clay cutter in corn flour. It will give good cutting, not get stuck to ckay and dust the excess corn flour & further do baking process.

I dipped them in varathane gloss varnish.
does anyone know what she applied on the last part to make them more glossy?

You can make air dry clay shiny with epoxy resin, clear spray paint, Mod Podge, or a high-gloss clay varnish.

She used UV resin. And this is polymer clay.

It's translucent polymer clay, mica powder and white paint.
