compared to some of our other BBQ places, that's what BobbyQ should be doing. Not talking about the softness, talking about the generic flavor

@Hello Mike, How are you doing?
Tried the Tourist Home doughnut last week. Best doughnut I have ever had. Absolutely amazing and incredible!!! Thank you for bringing attention to it 😋
I must need to have some instant noodles bef watching these 😂
Next time you're in Phx head to Little Miss BBQ. It's unbelievable
Just moved to Phoenix this past June. Boyfriend grew up at the Grand Canyon and his parents still live inside the Grand Canyon National Park so we're up at the Canyon for Thanksgiving. Watching this video as fun because, hey! I can go try those places soon!
you should do reviews on all sorts of bakeries in New York!! or wherever you travel!!😁😁😁
Aww you're in my town! Glad you visited AZ- it's the best time of year here! Also, Sedona ROCKS!
Bobby-Q is LEGENDARY. As a current Phoenician, it's a staple. Glad it's getting the pub it deserves.
Phoenix is a great place to eat and has a lot of good restaurants. Thanks for sharing this video
Mike needs his own food tour series with a camera crew following him around. Always finding the best places to check out, and awesome descriptions of what's going on with each dish.
I see Dumpling is in Phoenix and I nearly crapped myself.
Bobby Q is great. Their food is always on point. I live in AZ but I've never tried those doughnuts in Flagstaff. Guess I got some plans to make!

You came to Flagstaff and didn't tell us!!! I hope you enjoyed your visit up here. 😆
Mike is probably my favourite youtuber right now... Always fun to watch
when you come back to PHX, make sure to try Welcome Chicken and Donuts and Little Miss BBQ!
You should go to this little tow in AZ called Anthem they have got some really good mom and pop shops it's a really nice town
That donut from Tourist Home is a German pastry! :) It's called "Spritzkuchen" (sort of... "Splash Cake"...) here and is basically our equivalent to the Donut :)

Bobby Q's is freaking good!!! I love their food
I was at that place in October and suffered a food coma. The waiter was great and kept feeding us... It was ridiculously good...

Gawd damn that BBQ looks good!! Drool.... Love your enthusiasm for food, Mikey!
glad you enjoy it here
You're my favorite Asian food reviewer. Thanks for everything you do.
You need to come back to AZ! I’ve been to Bobby-Q’s and my family loves Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que even better! The food is AMAZING and they have biscuits with cinnamon butter served to the table. I mean.... heaven. But you can’t beat fresh hot doughnuts at Bobby-Q’s! The boys in our family always get the rib platter each! They have a bunch of their own bbq sauces and you get huge drinks! Sooooo good. Every birthday and special occasion is held there 😂 AZ got a lot more restaurants since you were here!
Yay Flagstaff! I was born and raised there :D
In Arizona on vacation. Just finished a peach muffin, raspberry roll, and vanilla cappuccino. Boyfriend asked how I heard of Tourist Home and I said “Mike”. I got some funny looks with me naming a random guy! 🤣
Arizona loves you back, Mickey!
We had lunch today at Bobby's Q.. It was great.. Will recommend to everyone.. Thanks Mickey, great video buddy. 👍😁❤️😀
MIni-donuts AFTER Barbecue?!? Home Run Mike! Home Run!
Thanks for making these videos Mike! I love your channel! Looking forward to more travels/trying foods!
Dude you hit the food wall and you still eat. You are my hero. I only weigh 125lbs. Watching you eat , I feel like”my 600 lbs life” 😂😂love you. Go to Central America soon. ❤️
Looks really good. Big portions, like the one that flipped the car on the Flintstones.
hey mike, next time you're in phoenix, you HAVE to try Little Miss bbq. They have the best brisket

there is NO comparison between BobbyQ and Little Miss. Totally different level, Like comparing a high school football team to the NFL. Lil Miss is one of the best in the entire US, as reviewed by gourmets, not by yelpers

Flew down to Arizona just to try these few places. Went to BOBBY Q’s and got 2 orders of Q rolls which were fantastic with the little carafe of spicy bbq sauce and chipotle dip as well as The Whole Hog and I ate 2 baskets of that cornbread! It was fantastic!!! Early Saturday morning I’m headed to Flagstaff and going to Tourist Home because that’s when they make a large variety of flavors of donuts. I go where the good food is so keep the videos coming. Thanks my man!
LOL, hot oil in a travel bottle... brilliant! You should merch that. I'd buy a few bottles.
I've never heard the word tender used as much as in this video LOL keep it up mike
Mike you make eatting and trying new food seem so much fun! The ribs you were eatting looked so tender......now i wish i had a plate of ribs.....great video!
It's called a "Cronut". We've had it in Melbourne (Australia) for over 4 years now :)

Wow! that "all"was lovely
You should have hit up Tucson, it's UNESCO City of Gastronomy and 2 hours South of Phoenix!
Have a happy thanksgiving Jackie Jr. Please come to Seattle in spring for the Tulip festival and mount Rainier.
I moved from Southeast Texas to Phoenix around 10years ago, and I haven't found a bbq joint that compares to Texas yet.. Same with steaks.. Bobby Q's was pretty good.. Lil Miss BBQ is about the best Q in town, but it's in Chandler which is an hour away from where I live.. They can't touch MY bbq anyways..

lolRitoRektGG I'm around 80 miles east of Houston, close to Louisiana. We feel that we take our bbq more seriously than other parts. Plus ours generally tends to be alittle Creole. Now I've eaten at a number of places in and around Dallas. My BEST experience with bbq there was a place called Pecan Lodge. The ribs, brisket, and the pulled pork was amazing! Maybe the beers made it taste better, but borderline best bbq I've ever had! Another great is Lockheart Smokehouse Bbq. This one is alittle more, what's the word? RUSTIC.. It's more "old school parchment paper instead of a plate" kind of place. You might get alittle dirtier and you might go home wreaking of Mesquite, but that's how I like it! I recommend this place. Lockheart was my 2nd favorite place but the best FOR ME was Pecan Lodge!

yes, steven, homemade is always the best!. lolrito, yeah, of the regional styles, I'd have to agree texas is the best. but if you're in Canada. great salmon and shellfish on the west coast, killer beef in alberta and amazing produce and sea food in PEI. You got a lot of great stuff up there!!!

Yeah Bobby's is pretty good but aint no Oklahoma Joe and not much good BBQ places here in PHX. He should've went to Comedor Guadalajara near downtown instead
Dude they have the best mac-n-cheese on the planet!! You missed out... Make a trip back to AZ for bobby Q's mac-n-cheese
I just subbed last night because I found your Japan videos but if you ever return to AZ again, especially if it's Tucson, I've got some places you should visit!
Everything looked awesome! Do you travel with producer or production assistant? At the BBQ place there was a persistent shadow to your left that I first thought was wait staff. But the shadow was almost always in frame, so I thought it more likely from someone with whom you were traveling.

Everytime I watch the contents of this channel i get hungry
The donut you are eating is what is called a French Cruller. It's made from an enriched dough, which is a standard flour water yeast salt and sugar dough, enriched with eggs and butter. It's kind of a cross between Pate a Choux (eclair or cream puff pastry) and puff pastry dough (croissant or Napoleon pastry).
Mike Chen I been to the places were you went to eat dinner I love it find the food super yummy.
One of your best videos for sure. Keep it up!
I had a rotten day and your video just makes me smile! Thanks for making them 😀
Oh dang, I wish I had known you were here in Flagstaff. Hope you liked it.
So much food on your chanel. Found it watching the hot pot video. Do you have a hot pot recipe? I'm surprised you don't

Nora W any time is a good time for bbq
if I would have known you were in town,I could have hooked you up with better gourmet quality BBQ (or any other type food in Phoenix area except Chinese). Yelpers aren't the most distinguished eaters. That place is good for mass market quality BBQ. It's about a step above an applebees on a scale of ten and about two steps below a Famous Daves chain bbq. It's as authentic as an Olive Garden. but yes, the EXPERIENCE at bobbyQ is great. Really great servers. they treat you well and it's a fun time. It IS a good place to take a tourist for an "Arizona experience". But it's just mediocre food. But for about the same price you could have had food by one of the top in the nation as decided by critics and gourmets instead of just yelpers. Lil MissBBQ has even been represented at James Beard House (home of the prestigious James Beard Award). There is a difference between restaurants reviewed by the likes of Bon Apetit or Epicurious vs the type that are reviewed by yelpers. And remember at real BBQ joints there are specific styles of BBQ (Memphis, Kansas, Carolina, texas, etc) BobbieQ'a is just generic BBQ, not regional and not made in a chef driven restaurant. It's an ex-Bobby McGees and the food is reflective of that clientele. Next time you're in phoenix, hit me up and I can probably even get you to meet executive chefs from some of the best places in the state including Scott from Lil Miss. (but we do not have great Chinese food here)
00:13 seconds in.. 😂😂 genuine reaction dude!!! Couldn't stop laughing
love your show sometimes a little overboard when there are hungry people!e watching.
Wow! 😲All that barbecue looks amazing! You pick out the best places to eat! Seriously!
that brisket tho... looking like homer simpson right now. lol
That donut thing is pretty common in germany. It's a kind of dough that's prepared hot (like a choux pastry) and then fried. It's amazing.
Yaas my hometown Phoenix !
Hey mike! i recently found your channel and instantly became hooked! I noticed the high amount of "Noodle" videos and was wondering if you can try some more rice dishes? Thanks and keep it up!
Magical love donut
That looks good, but truly good BBQ doesn't need sauce, especially ribs.
@mspeir

TheENofficial It depends on how they are cooked. If basted and slow cooked, additional sauce shouldn't be necessary. Of course, this is entirely subjective.
@mspeir
7 жыл бұрын
As I said, it is entirely subjective. For me, it is like putting sauce on a steak. If the steak is properly seasoned and cooked, the meat should speak for itself. It shouldn't need sauce. If it needs sauce, it is because something is wrong. But then there are people that put ketchup on a steak...
@mspeir
7 жыл бұрын
I was using that as an example. Steak, ribs, brisket, etc., are all meats. When cooked properly, in my opinion, they should not need sauce.

**facepalm** I'm from Texas. I grew up on BBQ. I've had it with sauce and without, mostly with. I've been to BBQ restaurants all over the country, some that would blow your mind! I've had exceptionally good BBQ and exceptionally bad BBQ. In all of the many years I have been eating BBQ, I'll be 40 in March BTW, I have come to the personal opinion
Ha! I trained as a massage therapist right next door to Bobby Q's! When are you coming to Tucson? We're the only gastronomy winner for our restaurants in the US!!
I always wish every time I watch ua vedio that if only I was u n has that opportunity to travel n experience types of steaks n food.... enjoy every vedio of yours...
ohhh maaaannnnnn....... it looks really good, now I want some too.....I really enjoy how you enjoyed your meal......keep up the good work
Food looked awesome. Can't see a link in the description though. Can you post it please?
Did you leave a link for those restaurants?Donut looked like french cruller. Coux pastry. Oh so yummy.
😂😂😂 your hilarious man, you said you didn't have to chew it. awesome
that donut looks like French crawlers (made with pate a choux) same batter used to make profiterols or cream puffs
Come to Berlin Germany. We have these donuts everywhere and they're called Spritzkuchen. Sweet, crisp outside, juicy gooey inside.
