I'm not sure if you realized this, but in NCT-U's "From Home" they are singing in multiple languages. Taeil, Doyoung and Haechan are Korean; Kun, Renjun and Chenle are Chinese; and Yuta is Japanese. So this song has Korean, English, Mandarin and Japanese lyrics. Each of the members at one point were singing in their native language. As you may remember, Taeil (the oldest member of all of NCT) and Doyoung are both main vocalists from NCT-127, Heechan is a main vocalist of NCT-127 and NCT-Dream, Kun is the leader and lead vocalist of WayV, Renjun and Chenle are main vocalists of NCT-Dream, and Yuta is a lead vocalist from NCT-127. In the live MAMA 2020 award show performance, all the members who appear on the sides of the stage at the end were the other foreign members of NCT. Because this is an award show performance, they had to do something unexpected and special, so they added a surprise by including the rest of the foreign members in the song -- if you watch the MV, they are not part of the original version. (NCT currently has 13 foreign members + the 3 Korean members who are originally on this song = 16 members on stage. Mark is Korean-Canadian, Johnny is Korean-American, Yuta and Shotaro are Japanese, Ten is Thai, Lucas is Chinese-Thai from Hong Kong, YangYang is Taiwanese, Hendery is Chinese from Macau (China) and 5 mainland Chinese members -- WinWin, Kun, Xiaojun, Renjun and Chenle.) Keep in mind that this was during the height of the pandemic and everyone was feeling separated and we were all struggling with the fact that we couldn't have that human connection and interaction. So this song is particularly meaningful because NCT was able to create a connection and remind us that we are all going through the same things regardless of where we call home. It's a particularly meaningful song for the foreign members of NCT -- because the members were physically separated from their homes and they were unable to see their families -- and all of NCT's international fans because they couldn't hold live events or travel to meet their fans in other countries, etc.

this song is especially dedicated to the foreign members, hence all of those who pop up are all the foreign members who isn't in the song... also this song is sung in 4 languages, Korean, English, Japanese and Mandarin... it's not heard here clearly but in the original MV (since this rearrange also has an mv) the whole 2nd verse is in Mandarin and Japanese..

This entire fandom actually wasn't sure as to how well Mark could sing, until one day, NCT Dream won 1st place on a music show for Hot Sauce, so, they got an encore stage and he straight belted the high note. We were shocked, lmao.

This is one of their best performances. They’re all great, but Doyoung was amazing. By stopping in the middle, you lost the effect of how long he held his first note. I also really like the mv of the original version.

The members tht appeared at the end are all the foreign members. Because this song is kinda like telling their journey as nct members. You should react to their MV, the (from home rearranged version official video) they kinda made an edit of them since they were trainees

Mark actually entered SM for his vocals, and he and Taeyong can actually sing well too. You’ll get to hear more of them from their solo tracks. The guy in white you pointed out as Lucas was WayV’s main vocal, Xiao Jun. Lucas was the tall guy in black beside him.

You were right, it was only the vocal line but the song is about their journey so they brought the foreign members for the live version. When you can check out the Rearrenged Oficial video, it shows their NCT jorney growing up from rookies (trainees) to idols :)

I'm so soft for this song because of how it's dedicated to the diversety of cultures NCT has. Oh my heart

By the way Nct Is actually diverse group when I say diverse it doesn't mean just for their songs every member sings pretty well can rap very well and also dance practically sm made them aces

You will learn that in SM even the rappers or the dance line can sing sing lol SM make sure all of their idols are extremely good singers

haha NCT is known for either their "noise music" OR their insane r&b ballad-style vocals -- I think people have just been recommending more hype songs for you, but literally half of their discography is r&b/ballads. also would recommend listening to the music, cuz I think you missed some nuts moments trying to identify the members hahah! its great when you recognize them, but there's so much musically going on that feels a little more relevant :)
