We are now potentially on a trajectory to reach 10k supporters in the little time we have left, directly due to the support from Jason and viewers of this video. It is safe to say this would not even be possible otherwise. Time will tell, and every supporter matters at this point, so thanks to each of you for being a part of this amazing journey! edit 2: we made it to 10k! Thank you!

No disrespect to Jason but this truck is exactly the type of thing that Lego Ideas should be about. A simple easy build designed by a father and son. Not some massive kit that costs a fortune. I know some of the Ideas sets have been fairly simple i just feel we need more of this type. And yes before anyone asks I supported this project shortly after it went up. Perhaps Lego should consider categories for under 500 brick builds?

Millions of years of human development and then this creation is born! It really is an amazing use of a very small selection of lego parts. Simplification of that mechanical process whilst still allowing it to fit inside a small set like this. I really hope lego make it and also consider other ways to use similar mechanics on other models.

They could also easily add it as some part of a larger set, with a more interesting building or something.

No it wasn’t. JK brickworks didn’t make this, someone else did, and JK brickworks simply made a copy to show how it works. The original creator submitted the design to Lego Ideas. This is explained at 0:31,

@therandomnessstrikes1435 the ideas set was denied. The one that was produced wasn't ideas, it was technic.
