Nirgends eine Absaugung, wie in der altertümlichen Schreinerer meines Grossvaters, bis wir dann vor über 30 Jahren eine installiert haben. Ist ein Gesundheitlicher Vorteil, wie auch eine arbeitsersparnis!

May be… I am a novice in woodworking but so much of work for that? I also felt that the process was not well refined. I enjoyed the planning and the joints that were created but there were a lot of rough edges.

If you inflated a large balloon inside the frame to push the shade material into place, it would probably be easier, and get you a better finished article.

It’s cool.. but why is 10 + inches of your bandsaw blade exposed when cutting 1.5 inch material.. obviously your blade is pretty wide and can take the pressure without the guide wheels closer, but still, surly would you not benefit from dropping it lower.. equals less blade drift and obviously more safety. Just asking.

Easy to make a circle cutting jig .Wood pin mounted on board marked with radius and spin piece to cut circle Simple.Bring down blade guard before you cut your head off .

I always take tips from woodworkers who are missing finger parts.

Run that blade guard down man! Save the blade and your fingers!

Oh wow! I was going to show this to the guys at the Men's Shed, that is until I saw the band saw with too much exposed blade. Your project is good, but we have some members who would follow suit and have the blade exposed too much.

You lost the right to use ingenious when you busted out your "compass."

Did you know the Chinese have been making these types of lanterns for thousands of years? did you know they perfected the technique? Did you know that there are videos on you tube that can teach you how, and you could whip one up if you have all the right materials.

Not really ingenious and not at all amazing.

The idea was brilliant but overall quality and used techniques ruined the effect.

For sure, although I was able to get a hold of it a few weeks ago, I just checked and his plans can still be downloaded at no cost. I just happened to go'ogle Woody Hyezmar's Woodworking Bible and got it before he decided to sell it or something lol, have a good one!

This video instantly releived me of thinking I'm a hoarder I've gotta stop tossing cut offs cull into a pile I'll need it or use it stress.To be fair I despise gift wrapping presents.I spent 23 years 7 combat deployments in the Infantry.I feel like a fruit.So instead of wrapping presents I make traditional and Japanese dovetail boxes and put any gift inside a gift. But as much as ppl love them I quickly hit.Look they're amazing and I can't imagine how much time it took because ypu hand cut refusing to use a router. But I can't bring myself to throw them away I have so many I've given so many away they won't take anymore
