WOW I feel old looking at these tools used from my high school days an now you don't see these anymore or I just noticed I was going to LOWES and HOME DEPOT too much.....lol I miss woodworking. I just bought my 1st home 33yrs after graduating Highschool an want to build a swing for my backyard like my grandparents had and this one looks just like it. He was born in 1902 grandmother 1913. Thank the Lord for those two folks there man, beautiful pioneers of our family.

Looks like it was a Hitachi Drill. Go to any store and pick up the drills that they have and see how they feel in you hands. If it feels good in you hand, buy it. Most of the cordless drills are pretty go right now so it's hard to get a bad one unless you get a cheap one. No need to say your sorry for being an amateur, all of us started out that way, welcome to the club.

I remember my late grandfather was a carpenter/woodworker, he had one of those I just forgot what it’s called but it is used as a marking gauge.

there are many people that are not experienced wood workers!! proper safety should be a requirement for you tube videos. like eye protection and push stick for table saws the list goes on, to minimize accidents. Having said that , the projects are very cool !!
