Just found your wonderful youtube channel. This tour is fabulous. I have ALWAYS wanted to live in New England, but it probably won't happen. At least I can enjoy watching other people's homes. I live this type of decorating it comes together over time. Picking pieces you love here and there. There is much more of a personality to it as it comes together organically. Don't get me wrong i love a lot of modern styles too but it seems so impatient to me. Slap some paint on, go to hobby lobby, purchase a rug at. Target and it's done ( I've gone that route too and it is s quick pick me up for me and the room) but usually then a few years you start all over again, painting a new color, new decor...

Yes yes I mix white and wood tones too.. I move them both and think you can marry them together as well.. I love white but don't like the all white homes..I need some warmth mixed in and some blacks... this is true farmhouse to me.

Karen’s Townsend I agree! Even Joanna Gaines always adds contrast and wood tones to warm up the light colors! Farmhouse should be a great mixtures of the old and the new with lots of textures! Laine’s home is perfect!

Of course I LOVED this beautiful home tour! So many treasures! I also have the leathered countertops. We really wanted soapstone, but not the upkeep. 😕 We shopped around and found the antique leathered granite. I was so shocked that they are actually granite, because they resemble soapstone so well. Just the look we wanted! Thank you so much for the wonderful tour...and THEY SHIP!! 😁
