This was filmed at Wayfarer, Palos Verdes, CA. This beautiful place is CLOSED due to recent mud slides. They had to cancel over 125 weddings because all of the ground has been torn apart.

Lovely reaction to a phenomenal performance. Otherworldly. Chapel of the Wayfarer, Palos Verdes Cali.

The droning of the bagpipes at the start was immaculate.

this is one of my favorites by them and absolutely my favorite rendition of 'Amazing Grace'. I will be honest, this is one of those songs that hits me too. It makes me think of my mother. and that reaction when Kevin started singing did not go unnoticed - subtle compared to some but still there.

One of my absolute favorites of theirs for sure. I could listen to this every day for eternity. I also agree that you should listen to O Holy Night and The Prayer next, and it doesn’t matter one bit that it isn’t December/Christmas time. 😊

Hi Ginger, if you’re still interested in listening to Kirsty another great one is their version of Seasons of Love from the musical “ Rent” , Kirstie just soars in it. They sang it for the PBS show a Capital Fourth a couple of years ago.

I can't wait till you hear Oh Holy Night official video. Make sure your sitting because it will knock you off your feet. From one ginger to another(mines mostly gray now 😅)

Thanks for a great reaction! (One sad side note, I read the chapel where this was filmed has recently been closed because of ground instability. I guess because of all the rain California has gotten. Hopefully, it is only temporary.

Yes, the Wayfarers Chapel in Southern California where this was filmed has sustained floor and glass cracks after all the recent rainstorms. Hundreds of homes in the area have also suffered damage from the same landslides and ground instability.

The location is the Wayfarer’s Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes California. It was closed this week as ground movement presents a risk that it could fall into the Pacific Ocean.

I believe it’s the waifar (spelling) chapel in paso verdes, and because of the mudslides it’s closed and at risk for being damaged beyond repair. There is a go fund me.

I really enjoy your reactions. They show genuine emotion and joy of the music. Pentatonix does a great job with this song. I would like to recommend another acappella group called Home Free singing the same song. Personally I can't decide which one does the best, it's that close.

I thinl you would love Home Free's version of How Great Thou Art, filmed in the Austrian Alps when they were on their way home at the start of lockdown and had to cut short their European tour. A side note: this was the first time we actually got to hear Kevin sing a solo. Oddly enough the first time we get to hear the Home Free beatboxer, Adam Rupp, sing solo is during How Great Thou Art.

This is far and away the best rendition of the song I have ever heard. The only version that I have heard that enters the discussion, as in "they are a distant second," would be Celtic Woman, who also does a great rendition of the song.
