Nana Mouskouri, un monstre sacré de mon jeune âge. Je me souviens qu'elle donnait une des plus émouvantes de la chanson Un Canadien errant, écrite lors de la révolte des Patriotes vers 1837. Le mot Canadien, il faut bien comprendre, signifiait à l'époque un descendant de Français, les "autres" étant les Anglais. La chanson évoque le départ par bateau depuis Québec, de Canadiens enchaînés en exil vers l'Australie. Leonard Cohen, ce grand poète chanteur de Montréal, en a fait une très belle version anglaise (Eh! Oui, ainsi faisons-nous les choses au Canada) The Lost Canadian. Autre rappel de Nana Mouskouri, Puisque vous avez publié une vidéo de Patricia Janeckova de L'aria The Last Rose de l'opéra Martha, Madame Mouskouri chantait aussi la version française de la chanson populaire irlandaise, La dernière rose de l'été.
