I thought the same a few years back, heck I couldn’t even afford a reborn doll. I figured it out and then became an artist and wow 😮 things have come crazy far!!!!! Now I’m doing KZread and selling my work and now I make my own silicone dolls! Crazy……

He is so precious! I can definitely tell the difference with the eco flex 20 silicones, I had a fbs Johnnie like yours, and she was just not flexible at all so I sold her last year. I just bought a Lydia by Irie gallery 3 weeks ago ( from her second mommy) she is stunning and has the softer silicone, I love it too! It makes them melt in your arms! Congrats on this adorable baby boy! 😍😍

Who hurt you???? I feel bad that you see one video and just assume so much & can’t stop yourself from commenting something negative. Never thinking about how someone has lost a real baby and may be using what you call “ a glob of silicone“ for comfort. Maybe someone wasn’t able to have children & wants to know what having a baby is like? These dolls are used for all kinds of therapy: early childhood trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, depression, Alzheimer’s & dementia, infant & child loss, just to name a few. Hello Peggy Polk! My name is Misty & I am a reborn doll artist, as well as a L&D & NICU nurse. Before you make assumptions and rude comments here, I would stop & think about what side of this story you do not know or understand. Just know I have young ladies & men who have lost something very precious to them & these “ lumps of silicone” help them to heal naturally from tremendous loss & pain. These dolls help people who really need them. What are you doing in the world to help make it a brighter place? How are you helping others? Not by trolling on the internet & hurting others. Well if it’s easy to find & someone REALLY wants to find it, they can, but it’s courteous not to dox someone’s personal info on the internet. This is her personal phone, she is an artist not a business. If someone wants to purchase from her they can find her from the rest of the information given, like her business page on Facebook. Why put someone’s personal information out there online without her permission? The card is for her purchasing customers who she has worked directly with not the whole world. Artists don’t know I have a KZread channel. It’s great to put her non-personal information out there for business, but would you want online trolls to have access to YOUR cell number? 🤔

The only thing I don't like about silicone is every one I have seen has no veining, painted creasing like on the feet or hands, and they all seem to be completely bald, like no real detailing at all.

I am fairly new to silicone painting now, as I started just after this box opening. I normally paint vinyl Reborns, but painting silicone is a whole, totally different world! It is extremely hard to paint them with the same kind of details as vinyl Dolls , but I was very determined to get the veining, mottling,creasing and the blushing down. I think it’s because I’m so used to painting vinyl Dolls all these years that I absolutely cannot stand it if mine don’t have the same kind of details. With that said, I will say that most artist will leave the silicone dolls bald to keep the cost down, but you can send mine off to be rooted at an extra charge. 💗

I don’t think it’s a bad thing to dress our babies in real baby clothes and use real baby items, it makes them more realistic. Role play is good for therapy or fun. I think that if you really treat them 24/7 like a real child or you think your dolls are real, then I think seeing a counselor is a good idea, to find out why. 🩷
