The glue settles down a bit if you can refrigerate the fruit before you cut it up. I was a lot happier when I learnt about using vegetable oil as a barrier and for clean ups. I'm looking forward to trying their technique when mine are ready in a couple of weeks.

Not everything you see in this video compilation is from Thailand. Example: 22:05 This lady cutting pineapple is not in Thailand, but in Vietnam. The giveaway is this "SAIGON" signage @28:05, and her head and shoulder covering with flowers embroidery is very unique to Vietnam culture. @26:10/29:14 is more proof from signage again and finally verbal language proof @28:12 that it's from Vietnam.

The same fruit/vegetable grown from different parts of the world may look and taste slightly different. Factors like soil composition, water, climate etc can alter the fruit/vegetable. Like humans for example, we all look and speak different languages from different parts of the world, but deep down, we're all made of the same parts.

You can find them at asian supermarkets in the US if you want to try one, they have a strong smell but it's much sweeter than Durian and not as pungent. Make sure you get a ripe one though because they can be a little rubbery when unripe (the canned ones aren't as good because they are canned while still unripe). Parts of the rind can be cooked into various dishes as a meat substitute as well.

Ive heard Jack fruit isn't much of a delight, more of an acquired taste or not at all.

@@getin3949 i think they picked up too soon then, they dont have much of taste when they are young. The more yellow better and whiter ''worse''. I love the hard ones, the softs, not that much 🤐

@@getin3949 In my opinion, it is a 'love or hate' fruit. I don't know anyone who says 'yeah, whatever' to a jackfruit. I personally can't stand it, even the smell causes nausea, but my father loves it.

Everything is so clean! 0:54 Look @ the handle of the knife (to the right) YUMMY! I would eat just that handle whatever t/f that goop is. 1:41 Look @ the ground. What is that even? Carpet? Or just straight up dirt your fruit is going on? Either way...YUM! 3:36 Look @ the big red bowl/pot the fruit goes in! nom nom nom! 4:18 Look @ her gloves ...what is the purpose? LOL! The thumbs are broken through. We ALLLL know those gloves make your hands sweat and broken gloves leak and drip sweat. YUM! That isn't even 5 minutes in to the video. Yes yes, I know all cultures are different..BUT...cleanliness and some level of sanitization is NOT that difficult no matter where on earth you are.

I love jackfruit. I wish I could buy it all the time in the store around here. We’ve only had it once in four years 30 miles away.

I see so much waste with the pineapples and how they peel them. I take a lot of care when cutting out the eyes so I don't waste much if any. I do hope the peelings are sent to be squeezed of their excess juices and made into juice.

I was watching that too. The lady with the v shaped scoop had a better system. I guess they don't get paid by the kilo. We prepare a fruit platter each week at work, some of the women are so wasteful.

Delicious, a little chewy and crunchy, sweet taste plus texture is similar to young coconut meat It’s wonderful fruit with its own aroma like no others, no acidic and far between from pineapple
