Noice. Hard to tell, but seemed like a couple Dutchmans. Second guy's chain was too tight - you can hear it whinning. Second guy really should get some PPE - at least a hard hat, but chaps pretty important too. Don't slam wedges full strength without looking up some. You need to watch the tree and also make sure nothing is getting ready to break off overhead and come your way.

They are trying to permanently stop old growth cutting in BC.Which does work on the coast because the trees there are up to 500 years old and can be preserved. With interior wood its root systems will rot if you leave the stands of timber too long.If the trees are about 24 to 36 inches on the but end after it's been fell that's about as big as you want a good healthy stand of timber.The BC government will find out the hard way. I know this because my father not only was a faller/logger but also worked for the federal forest service.He was an entomologist or a "bug" guy.He studied the pine beetle in the Bush and in the lab. That's the only reason I know that what the BC government is doing will fail with interior wood. You will see big forest fires in BC when the summers are hot and dry.They arent very smart the BC government

Hardwoods ... not pine or fir ... those guys cut 300-400 of those pines and firs every day out west, but they're not big trees, and you can't hardly bust one of them unless it's rotten. If they're cutting big pine like Ponderosa they don't cut more than fifty or sixty pr day

Admonished them to comeback to their senses. Why they destroy what is secrated in this life. Every tree 🌳 you ♥️ must protect. Not the other way around.

It is very dangerous what the guys are doing. The dont cut a hinge and so they can not determinate the direction of fall.

I think that's a Cottonwood, not sure, try that with a Red Oak...

In my prime I'd average felling and topping 65 trees this big every day and I couldn't keep up with the Bracken boys ... Those two would run from tree to tree to see who could cut the most trees in a day, and the goal was always 100 trees unless they were small ...
