It seems like a way to get people on a yearly subscription without putting them on a yearly subscription lol. Just release a “program” every year and charge for it 😂

That’s nice and all but did you fix the awful performance issues that slows your csp down to a crawl if you try to use big brushes, no matter how beefy your pc is? Because that should’ve been priority over adding some filter gimmicks.

Always hated that, just recently got an ipad to use procreate and it's insane how helpful those complex brushes are

That's a good suggestion. I also noticed a reduction in performance when using complex brushes.

No. That's something just inherently wrong with csp. Crud like that in digital software is always a foundation issue, even if you're running it on a NASA super computer.

Yes, GPU support would very much help performance. Most brushes will start to lag beyond 500 px which is a real annoyance.

The most amazing development since 2.0 is that now I can't use my EX perpetual license any longer on two devices, because there is a limit on how often I can do that and when I ask support how often exactly they say they are not allowed to tell me. Consider me amazed.

That is not the intended purpose of asking them to switch devices. It's for if you buy a new computer and want to move to that. If you want to switch regularly you can buy a license extension for another device.

When are you going to add GPU acceleration? Brushes are extremely slow when they are large and detailed 3D models are unusable due to how slow they are because they don't use the GPU, no matter how powerful your computer is...

So if I have the 1.0 version, I need to pay TWICE to get 3.0. Are you kidding me?

No, you only need the Update pass to use version 3.0, is annual but you don't have to buy it again. I bought version 1 too and I Update using the pass.

It’s better to just buy the perpetual license for V3 outright. Currently on sale since and it’s actually cheaper than normally upgrading without being on sale.

I got ver. 1 on sale about three years ago, and I paid around $110. Now, the upgrade to v2 + the upgrade to v3, on sale currently, comes to about $80. Now imagine they said "upgrade straight to ver 3 for a special price of $79.99!" .... wouldn't you say that's a good deal?

I'm looking forward to the text, animation, and filter updates. What I really want is more animation tutorials, and a in-between cell assist feature for 2D animation. Any features to speed up the 2D animation creation process would be greatly appreciated.

@@gigiizzy5651 It's a yearly subscription, not a monthly. And it costs as much as the perpetual license. Which you can also still choose instead. If you get it during a big sale they're asking $10 a year. That's nothing like Adobe and to say so is just silly.

You can still buy a perpetal licence for PC, and the device subscription is constantly on sale, it's roughly 10$ at the moment FOR A YEAR. I don't get you people, it is already criminaly cheap for a stable drawing software full of features that you can actually use for work.

You can stop paying csp for updates at any time and keep the product you paid for on pc

These features are not worth the $45-65 upgrade cost from 2.0. Do better.

I know it's still a payment but it's actually 16$ right now? The 3.0 version itself is 45-65, but the update is much less, right now I see 30% off and it's 16 usd (regular is 22$)

2024 and CSP still doesnt have GPU support. Even a free program like Krita does.

I'm just updating from the updater & the new user interface for CSP Start is bad. I prefer how it look before, more simple & show how many Gold & Clippy points I have. Now I should open my profile everytime to see them, moreover the new look take more time to load than before & I got an error when it starting for the first time so I should restart it. I regret to update & can't revert back...I think it's better to make this update free with the option to revert back.

Layer styles when?

Clip Studio Paint is a great tool, but performance issues can be a drag. I'm hoping Medibang Pro focuses on optimization alongside its features as I believe it has the potential to be a game-changer for digital artists on PC and Android.

There are a couple of ways: 1-File>Import>3d data 2-The ol' reliable click and drag (if you're on a pc/mac) 3-The more elaborate method of using Clip Studio Modeler (available only for Pc/Mac)

Actually you cannot, at least in Europe. You need to import it from Japan but only a few Resellers sell them for exorbitant prices.

The purchase page is so confusing now, and why is the only perpetual copy a physical one? I don't even know anyone with a disc drive anymore. Like... I was going to buy this, but I don't know what I'm even supposed to be buying to get what I want. So I uh... Won't.

why dont 3d objects and model's shadows dont interact with each other.

Sooo.... No GPU acceleration, performance improvements, brush size limit increase, or full screen mode. Instead we get; additions to a 3d suite most people don't use because poser and blender exist, some filters you can already make in version 1.0, and some text options. File size reduction and improved export options are nice at least. But none of this is worth me buying the software I already own twice.

Since clip studio relies on KZreadrs for tutorials the lessons and teaching styles are inconsistent. Ms.RedNebula has good tips for 2D animation.

i don't mind the platform becoming a subscriptions for these additionnal features but let me install my 1.0 version on multiple devices !

There's a perpetual license 1-time payment or buying an update pass for regular updates. The pricing model is turning into a subscription now.

​@@navysteel It is not such good news for users. I pay monthly for the Adobe plan and for CSP for the iPad subscription, and in addition, I bought a perpetual license for my laptop some years ago. To be an artist started to be an expensive job😉

When V2 released they sent the upgrade key to people who had just bought V1. Not sure if it's the same with V3, but check your mails if you got anything.

Try going into the "Change Version" option on the launcher and see if it lets you directly update to Ver 3

Puede ser suscripción o pagar la licencia de un pago, pero cuando saque otras versiones (como la 4.0) deberás comprar otra vez, aunque creo que te dan descuentos por tiempo limitado

There is a perpetual license you can get instead. Using that you can pay once, and then every March you can choose if you want to upgrade or not. No one is forcing you to do anything.

@@youfailed1511 To repeat myself "every March you can choose if you want to upgrade or not." It's a yearly upgrade cycle. If you bought it recently you should have a free 3.0 upgrade available to you. I believe that offer has been going since Dec.

I'm out of the loop for CSP, but I recall hearing about the Sub fee a while back but didn't know about being able to buy a perpetual license still. So, forgive me if I am misunderstanding lol, but does this mean if I wanted to upgrade I could buy an upgrade from 1.0 to 3.0 or just buy a new license for 3.0 that will last forever (perpetually)?
