Groynes are the long structures that go down the beach to prevent erosion. The huts are where people keep their beach paraphernalia, deck chairs etc. Some are quite elaborate inside.

Hi guys! I have only recently found your channel and I have to say that I love it! I've watched you in York, London, Brighton and Cheddar so far. I live just outside Brighton and loved that particular vid!

Beach huts a strange British entity , they are owned by individuals and are used as like a camp site when at the beach. They can cost as much, if not more than a house in areas of high demand.

Price varies around the coast. They’re basically a private changing room where you can stash a table and chairs. Some also have a little hob, so you can do lunch, make a cup of tea, etc. You can also shelter if it starts to rain, or gets windy. They’re not all uber expensive. Brighton’s ones are very colourful. If you’re heading back, check out the Redoubt Napoleonic fortress in Eastbourne as well, just along the coast, and Thayer’s ice cream nearby on the way to the pier. Eastbourne has a different feel to Brighton, so you can compare the difference. Probably swing by Pevensey castle as well.

Just started watching your videos a few days ago, and I love em, I'm obsessed, if you guys come back to Brighton I study at the local university I'd be happy to show you guys about 😊

This is my family's home town, had to come back and comment as this was the video that first brought my to your channel. Really love it.

I still remember learning about groynes from when I was at school, because obviously when you're like 12/13, it's a funny word. They are these wooden barriers that run out from the beach into the sea, and they are there to stop the waves from washing the sand away. Love the video, but you should have seen some of the awesome street art while you were there! There are buildings literally covered in graffiti

Hi our daughter lives in Ramsgate about 80 miles up the coast from Brighton, I love the whole southern coast vibe, The region is getting a real Amsterdammy vibe due to the rise of café culture down there.I think the adventures are getting technically better with each video and the benefits of what you learned at your conference is showing.--Bit of a lightweight effort there with those amazing looking chocolate creations, they looked so good surprised you didn't finish them. Anyway another good one thanks guys.

You got the most out of one day in Brighton 👍😁 Great video. The Choccywoccydoodah also had a shop in London. I have visited both and loved them, but they both are sadly now permanentely cloesd due to "challenging trading conditions". When visiting Brighton in 2016 I tried the British Airways i360 Viewing Tower. It was amazing, and with fantastic views. Also to the magnificent Seven Sisters with the white cliffs. I recommend it next time you are in Brighton 👍😁

You guys need go to Southwold with its little huts and its Pier - it has a secret that you guys will be amazed by.. i think you will really enjoy it.

If you visit Brighton again I recommend going to the best pub in the world called 'The Hand in Hand' - I live about 2 mins away from there. They brew their own beers in a traditional gravity brewery on the top floor of the pub. The pub itself is in Kemptown (a little village of Brighton) and is pretty small. They also have loads of imported beers from Belgium and other places in the world. Let me know if you come back and I'll buy you both a pint!!

I love Brighton, it's only about a 45 minute drive from where I live in Eastbourne.

Cider? Brighton has a great brewing scene, you should of checked out THE EVENING STAR, lots of awesome ales on draft from all-over the UK.

Had to laugh about the 'short train journey' from Brighton to the Lake District - that is practically the whole country and is a massive train journey for the Brits lol

It is about 4500 km from New York to Seattle so the trip to Brighton is quite short

Just to answer your question about the i360, you might not have seen but there's a big glass doughnut that goes up it that you can go up in for a view.

Arundel is lovely. Castle, river, wildfowl sanctuary, pubs, shops, history.

I've seen that store choccywockydoodah on TLC many times. What they make is impressive😃👍

Aww, thanks so much! 😊 We'll be here until the beginning of Feb. Then probably popping over to Ireland and Scotland before we head to Europe for a bit :)

Brighton is a university town , have many affordable eateries , also can be very expensive housing to buy. The lanes have many little antique shops and really neat individual shops. Ig is known for its diversity and gay scene.

Try the Market Diner if you go to Brighton again or Bardsleys for fish and chips.

Seen more of the UK than I have thats for sure.. Ive Not even been to Scotland as hoping to go this yr 2018 but not in mood for it.. Wales Ive been but Snowdon has to be done I havent tried yet

One hostel in Switzerland was a kindergarten during the day run by nuns and a girls hostel at night very nice and comfortable !

Oh this was another great watch Allison and Eric, especially as Brighton is so close to where we live. At Christmas we visited the beach huts and I thought you might like to have a look at the vid I made (I am just an amateur compared to you guys).
