Very cool boat. The clip where you let them drive the boat, is really what you two are all about. You really didn’t know me at the RCS fest, but you both treated me like a friend. From everyone I have met in this hobby from Stacey to I just got here Gary. Have been awesome.

You guys are the best thing that ever happened to this hobby.

Wow from 7:20 and on in the vid you guys hit some really pro levels in terms of filming. Those camera angles where near flawless for showing off the boat.

I like that the faster it is the more I like it LoL, when I get a boat it’s going to be that one it’s really cool looking too , great job Nate and Abby y’all have a good one 👍👍

Wow, wow, wow, that thing is super fast. I loved the drone aerial shot of the boat accelerating. My will power is weakening on holding off on buying it. :-)

That little bugger is crazy! Been a long time since I had a fast rc boat. I forget the top speed but I think you had about 2 minutes of wide open before the pair of 6 cell nicad batteries were done. The hobby has come so far, it's great!

Fast,great graphics. Fun boat. You should try a quad chase. Run the boat straight, get the quad low,and above. Get a good chase scene. See that rooster tail from above. Good review. 👍👍

Nice video! A few things: be careful with the boat submerging...the v1 Barbwire 17" had no failsafe so when the boat would go under water and lose signal, it would go full throttle and basically go straight down and wedge itself in the mud, all while full throttle. The only way it would come up would be when it either ran out of battery or the ESC burned out from no water cooling. Also, the wrapping the receiver in a balloon seems like a good idea, what ends up happening is the balloon traps moisture and messes up the receiver. Hope that is helpful! Boats are so much fun!!

Hey Guys, greetings from the UK! I've been following you guys for the last month and you helped me decide which RC boat to get into as a beginner - I went with the H101 and couldn't be happier. Love the videos-full of energy and passion - not boring like most RC reviews seem to be! Popeye is amazing. I was wondering if you were planning on reviewing the Barb Wire 3 any time in the future? Now I've got the RC bug again (I used to be into RC cars), I'm looking at adding a faster boat to my collection.

That thing is a rocket. Looks really good on the water, too. Was Abby getting some of the drone footage while the other guys got to drive it? Either way, the distance from the boat was great. Give a better sense of the speed and handling of this boat. Awesome work!

Thanks a lot RICK! Good to hear from you :-) Yes, Abby is doing well, just sore a lot. Now only about six weeks away!!

I would move the battery forward a little. One of the boats I own said in the instruction manual to do that. Further forward more stable and a little slower, further aft more unstable and a little faster. Or you could just possibly adjust the trim tabs.

Man! That little guy has some torque! Sweet video guys! Would some weight inside keep it from dancing around at top speed?

eventually I may get the Atomic Barbed wire. I know they are a radical boat eather way. They are not cheap but they are AWESOME

Nice to see the fisherman were cool about it. Here in the uk we have a great place for our boats just down the road but it is classed as a fishing lake and we cannot use the boats if there are any fisherman near us.

@ RCSaylors: That boat looks good! Maybe a little too much power for its own good. Quick question, if you wanted to get a larger batter for a boat (in general), could that throw off the counter-weight balance and be problematic or is it something you don't really have to worry about?

Intro was a hoot. Back in the day before DRONES, I skippered a few RC boats. This one makes me want to re visit that market again. I bit pricey- but how much is too pricey for a fun filled day at the lake?. Here in Az - I live in FOUNTAIN HILLS - known for the largest man made fountain with surrounding park type lake. Way too fast for my pool(LOL)

Drone video on a ground or water vehicle is actually useful! For an airplane, not so much. :)

You really need to go watch your original 2014 barbed wire video, you both look soo young! 😁

I have a couple of little boats that with a few tweaks performed even better..one is a vector s which does over 30 using a 32mm prop and a 1000 30c 4s...on starts it flys several feet out of the water...these tiny boats can be a blast..and very cheap.
