This is probably my favorite Xbox 360 backwards compatible list of games that you can play on Xbox Series X. I always try to go for a variety of games and feel like I nailed it this time. Let me know what you think!

I wish they didn't stop working on backwards compatibility. If it even got a fraction of the attention from them that Gamepass received I'd feel forced to buy a Series X. (I guess they're probably not too worried about players liked me who are more invested in their past than their future though anyway... While I still enjoy some of their games and hardware, Xbox feels very corporate and soulless to me these days, and comes nowhere close to how much I loved it during the Peter Moore era)

Funny thing is, they should be worried about it. I hate that they stopped the program. They only did it in the first place to stop all the bad press they were getting at the time. They're a multi-trillion dollar company. They definitely could get more titles in the BC program and work out the troubles with the license issues.

Great list, recently played Enslaved odyssey to the west and Max Payne 3 on Series X and they looked great

Recently picked up a copy of The Darkness. It only came out on 360/PS3, and the 360 version is far superior. The Darkness 2 is pretty great as well. My favorite backwards game is Overlord. It's currently delisted from the marketplace, but definitely worth picking up a physical copy

The Orange Box runs excellently on the Series X, played thru Portal last weekend while being laid up ill, its so cheap for whats included

@@thegamethrifter nope it has different controls weird gerphical glitches and some missions are broken. Just played the ps2 and ps3 version back to back. Most all hd collections on ps3 are broken too. Only the bluepoint ones and the jak and daxter collection are fine.(jak has some glitches tho)

Yeah, maybe one day they'll go back to the backwards compatibility program!

I just bought the Orange Box but haven't played Half Life Alyx or Portal before. Hopefully I will like them.

I did too and played portal already and immediatly bought 2 after it. Masterpieces i can tell you. Now i just need to get a copy of half life 1 before playing 2

That's one thing I stand by when it comes to Older generations of video game consoles and games. There's a lot of titles back then you'd probably never see the light of day in modern gaming today because how mainstream the internet is and with all these dumb movements SJWS, all those different stupid ass movements. It's why this modern generation just feels so stale today. Back in the days of the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube Developers actually gave a damn about the core experience of a video game and what fun stuff people could have chuckle at or cool surprises. It's kinda why there's such a resurgence online of people just going back and playing older stuff.

If I’m going to play Xbox 360 games I may just play them on my Xbox 360 instead then waste my storage on my Xbox series X that needs them installed Xbox 360 doesn’t require must install every game that’s what I love about the Xbox 360

Some games run better or have free enhancements, plus the games for 360 take up way less space than newer games, so you can actually play them off USB 3.0 external drives if you wanted.
