Just curious ... did anyone here see that series of moves coming, following white's Qa5? I've heard some GM's say things like, "I kind of knew there was something over on the queenside", which would indicate they didn't see the whole thing, but I wonder if at some point there the outcome became "seeable", or if it was just something black did not respond to in the best way? [Edit: On the resign, black only has one move, outside of giving up his rook with similar result: Kd5 followed by white's Qd4++, and maybe Anand didn't see that sequence after white's Qb8 - but I wonder if Carlsen saw it (it looks like he did).]

It’s like if u wanna chop bishop, u can do, then my g8 knight would jump to e7..

White would have checked the black king many times eventually exchanging queens and then promoting that passed pawn to another queen
