It makes me cry whenever I listen to this song that makes me miss Korea for a long time since I left Korea. When Korea is in trouble or war, I will run as a person in Korea right away. No one is talking about how beautiful the combination is.. The Amazing grace, a song sang by most blacks, talks about the pain of blacks being transported from their country to be slaves in a foreign land and being colonized, later finding peace in Jesus and freedom in Christianity and the Arirang talks about the pain of Koreans after experiencing so much war, division, hunger and hardship, rising to be one of the worlds best through sheer hard work and determination... These are songs of glory to humanity.... So much love from Nigeria..

Jelly Fish it does not talk about the pain of blacks but the pain a slave trader felt being a slave to African royalty. A brief google search would have told you that. Also the song is song by blacks and slaves to talk about freedom and being saved.

Very nice. Incheon is one of the best airports in the world offering plenty of services like buses, taxis, trains, restaurants, cool duty free shops, convenience stores fairly priced exactly same as those downtown, and even a place to rest. You can actually rent a bed in a tiny room and bathe in a hot pool inside the Spa on Air known as, "jimjilbang," in Korea. Interesting how they sang Amazing Grace at same time, but I enjoyed the old lady at the beginning the most. It brings to mind that Amazing Grace was a comparable nationalist folk song in America that Arirang is to the Korean people. It's really a song symbolizing the painful plight of Korea through the ages, past, present, and future in how they pulled together every time, during crisis or peace, as one to survive and even prosper incredibly well.

I don't understand Korean, but was in tears halfway through Arirag, then I lost it when they switched. This was really amazing.

When I heard this beautiful Korean song I pictured it with Amazing Grace and here this video is a prove, that I am not only one who thinks so. I understand above mentioned history and all the pain of human beings experienced on the world, but I have seen these two songs the same way as I always see my and all European folk songs next to Amazing Grace. For me it is way better than a mere history. It is how God received us and how he loves us as we are. This is all about how we go to Him with nothing but what we have. For me This is the best thing on the world. I bow down before such beauty.

Arirang's lyrics is a metaphor. I get the feeling of "Han" the silent remorse, the expression of letting things go, embracing the peace, and consoling souls. Thank you for this amazing song.

Almost 10 years since I left these wonderful, gentle people and returned back to the US. Sadly, the USAF would no longer send me back due to health issues. I primarily tried to make alliances between Korean hospitals and Kunsan (the base I was assigned to for 2 years). Bless all of you at this Christmas time! Col. James Walroth (MD), USAF (Ret)

I learned this song during our Music subject when I was in Grade 3 that’s in the early 70s. I’m now nearing retirement, I have not forgotten about the beautiful Arirang, haunts me to this day. Sarang 💗. Or course Amazing Grace equally beautiful

My choir teacher played this for us in class because we’re gonna sing this for one of our concerts (she said because I liked K-pop she found something Korean for me)
