These people are genuine heros. Helped rescue a yearly moose calf last year, so glad we were in the right place at the right time.

I pulled a 72 y.o. guy out of Maine's Androscoggin River's icy edge a few winters ago. Had I not heard the unmistakable sound of ice breaking behind me that day as I stood ashore smoking a butt, this would be a different story. I was happy that I could help.

Very good job. But many such incidents should not occur if humans put protections or ladders in the wells and ponds, systems to prevent injuries, tragic situations with so much stress for animals . But humans don't think of animals when they dig or build ...
