Lot of fish for this small a pond and I think using larger river rock would have been better. And local cats, raccoons, etc will get the fish and eat them because it’s right down on the ground. Normally a pond is deeper with areas the fish can get under and out of the sun. That area will quickly reach 90-100 degrees in the day. Also have to be careful the water hitting shallow depth can damage fish bladder. I have a 32 gallon trash can that rain water runs into and full it has reached 95F by 3-4pm with sun shinning on it. Even with patio umbrella over the can shading it, it still is in the 80s (Fahrenheit) Don’t want to cook the fish. I have to wait to use the water in the morning after the temperature has cooled down over night to water my orchids. Orchids want a lot of oxygen for their roots and hot water hasn’t any oxygen in it. It’s why lakes have to put big oxygenators in the middle to add oxygen to the pond or lake or the fish die and float dead. The oxygenator keeps the deeper water stirred and by picking up oxygen as it goes up in the air and drops back into the water. In very deep lakes ie 75-100’ or in the ocean the water stays cool and the fish can move to where they are comfortable where it’s deep and dark where they sun doesn’t reach.

Not forgetting how dangerous it is for the fish to not coat the rendering with some sort of fish safe coating to seal the render

This is simply beautiful. But he should have rinsed all the rocks off first before putting them in the fountain...the water is dirty...but I also think that it will settle anyways on the bottom. I want one of these...I love his work. Just simply beautiful! From Vancouver, B.C.

Lol. There isn't an overflow for this build, or any filtration (the pebbles would not be doing the job of a sponge filter). Might be a disaster once a heavy downpour comes. There is also minimal soil for the plants which might be washed away by the rain... A decent idea, but not well thought out overall...
