Thank you so much for this video! My mom was such a great seamstress I totally relied on her and never learned to sew. I'm now realizing the true depth of her knowledge. Even simply threading the machine is way more complicated than I would have thought! I doubt I could have figured this out without your video.

Can you start from the beginning on how to do wind a bobbin? My needle won't disengage. I've turned the inside knob toward me and it is not working.

You missed the first thread guide which is the metal plate right in front of the thread spool,

I no longer have this machine so can't really look at it to see what you're referring to. My current machine has a thread guide like you're talking about. If the Pfaff, has it I guess I never used it in the 30 years I sewed with it.

Are you asking how to do this? I never changed the bobbin tension, but I believe there is a small screw on the bobbin case that you can turn in or out. I no longer have my Pfaff, sorry.

Anyone know how to put the thread around that little black part where she stops the film? Thank you!!

@@sheriw.7009 At 1:12, you say you can't do that part one-handed so the video stops and when it starts again, that part is done, but there is no close-up to show where exactly the thread is. It's the black part that holds the needle and on the front of the black part are two silver metal clips, one on each side. I need to know if the thread goes completely behind that silver clip, or if it is supposed to slide through the cutout in the metal clip. I don't know if Renee Fortain had that exact question or not.
