wait what? I did all state and for the auditions we had one for sight reading and musicians and then one for singing parts of the music we would perform

Lovely. A couple comments though. I would like the see a difference in dynamics. some notes and phrases can be sung as though you are whispering it in you lover's ear and build and be more presistent and the phrases progress until you are practically shouting it to him/her to get the point across. Also I would like to hear more anguish in your tone. That was just beautiful. :) Great work!

I am just starting my journey as a sorprano and was just handed this song. I will be up to the two year mark soon singing and I started WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY latter than you. From the limited amount of knowledge I have this is awesome, especially for 16.

Lovely but the last several measures were sung noticeably sharp. Beautiful interpretation--the last little bit was just a touch hard to listen to for musically trained ears.

Very nice. But I need to feel it. Where's the emotion? You need to sing like your dying. What are you saying? Do you know? Amarilli my beautiful , don't you know I love, take this arrow and open my chest and see it written on my heart.

Thanks for this constructive comment. The mention of "take this arrow" confused me, and I checked the clunky translation in my music (Schirmer's Twenty-Four Italian Songs and Arias). No mention of an arrow! A bit of further digging and I found this - mcgautreau.com/notes/early/new_music/amarilli.php The rather pedestrian line in Schirmer "dubitar non tivale" replaces the thrilling "prendi questo mio strale" of the original. It's almost vandalism! Why the change? Now that I know the myth behind the song, I will sing it with a new depth of understanding and emotion. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your comment.

Mac McCaskill this is because there are 2 books of these arias, and old one that s yellow and a blue one. As a singer I really prefer the yellow book. And she comes in late on the line... drop your jaw on Ama... roll your Rs, you can flourish your top notes , and it's not... am. Ma. Rilli.... at the end you need to connect all that together. That s really what needs to be worked on is connecting the notes.

bodiloto mamma mia con certe persone non c'è speranza. Il punto è che lei è giovanissima ed è all'inizio della sua carrera. La tua tecnica non è perfetta ma visto la sua età ed esperienze canta molto molto bene. La stupidità in questo caso è tutto tua, boriosoloto, che non capisci un bel cazzo.
