What a movie! Hindu, Muslim and Christians sticking together. Amazing lyrics and amazing songs. Gone are those days. Instead of being united, everyone wants to claim how powerful their religion is. As Nana Patekar said, "Chouthi kaksha mein pada tha, sab lakdiyo ko todna mushkil hai, par ek ek ko alag kar todna bohot aasaan hai". This movie will turn out to be a lesson for the future generations. Stay united and don't believe in these so called politicians. Whatever happens, stay united.

Hello friends who have liked this movie. For the youngsters it may appear a bit slow compared to the modern movies. But it is to be watched remembering its vintage - it is now 45 years old!! Anyway, many old timers will know but this information is for the young people who are now watching: Director Manmohan Desai was away for some work when Amitabh Bachchan shot that solo scene in front of the mirror. When Desai returned and saw the rushes of that scene, he reportedly remarked that he is going to regret his whole life having missed "live" watching the scene, which, he was told Amitabh did in just one take. That is some professionalism! Watch. And Enjoy.

I watched this when I was a young kid. Even though we didn’t understand the language but still we knew what happened in the movie. I remember every single scene of it. The actors, the plot, the story. Everything in this movie is great and I understand why they never made a remake of it: there could never be a remake that could replace this.

This is the 3rd time I'm watching, and it's beautiful as ever. The first time I saw this movie was back in 2007, when I was 8 years old, the second I watched it was back in 2010, when I was 11 years old. And now after so many years, 10 long years now when I'm 19. I love the beautiful and ambitious acting of Vinod Khana, one of the best action ones I have seen of his early youth.
