@@RachelSmith-sz9rhif you look past all the witchy demon stuff, you see an allegory about how young actors get treated. a child star who's being watched, but not looked after. Adored, but not loved. The lonely kitten bit is a great example, since answering no, makes her scream and cry for help, but answering yes, just makes her stare. Like maybe she doesn't believe it. Another great point is (at least as far as I know) we don't know how or why her father left. He clearly had an idea of what's good or bad for his daughter, but without him there, whether it be a tragedy or just him up and leaving, it left his daughter in the hands of the company, having them make all the scheduling for her appearances and I'm sure her workload. And unfortunately, it's what a lot of these child stars have to go through, if not worse. Disney Channel stars alone serve as proof. Even Cole and Dylan Sprouse have commented that some of the cast of "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody" (especially the girls) may have been sexually harassed, and that the boys were Luckily to have had their parents there almost at every step. And if you want an example that's closer to this, look into Jake Lloyd, aka the kid who played young Anakin Skywalker.

@@MatIdk-jk2qp to shorten, I believe that underneath the demon stuff, this is a story about how the care of children in the entertainment industry can be shoved aside or even discarded for personal gain and how the experience can leave them afterwards.
I don’t know if I will get hate for this but I think this is how Amanda acts when wooly isn’t around
