A lot of the top male boxers could learn so much from the dignity of Amanda Serrano. She fought a hell of a fight ( both her and Katie did ) and it was very close ... and yet Amanda accepted the decision with the grace of a true Champion. Massive respect to her and her team. This is how truly GREAT sportsmen and women should always conduct themselves.

Issue is, both these females just landed their biggest paydays ever. Amanda Serrano went from making 4k a fight to well over a million dollars. Of course she is going to be humble in defeat, she is now earning life changing money. The issue with top male boxers is that they are used to that money.

2 mins into a round it was over. This interview was longer than the fight. Yay ladies! The best can go as long as an average man in a 6 round fight but they went 2 mins longer than a novice man with 10 mins of rest for 20 mins of fights Compare my to a cab driver who would fight 18 mins with 6!mins of rest. What a remarkable fight eh

That is still only a 10-9 round, because there was no ko, knockdown or standing count. I'm of Peru heritage myself and was for Serrano, but I love this sport. My dad was a judge and we both gotta be honest, we scored it for Taylor. We thought it was over in the fifth, then we thought she'd finish her in the sixth, but man Taylor somehow recovered. Gotta give kudos she dug deep

It was so close but honestly Amanda was the one applying the pressure she should have got the victory, anyway great fight and congratulations to both warriors

The fight was very close And Serrano accepted the verdict with honor I think she deserves another big pay day

Absolutely amazing sportsmanship - fantastic fight and so very close. What fantastic role models these two women are to kids all over the world and especially the next generation. Yay lady fights! They fought for 20 mins. The equivalents of a novice make in a 6 Round meaningless fight. 10 2 minute rounds with a minute rest between rounds. Sitting almost as much as fighting. Katie Taylor refused 12 3 minute rounds. 10-2 min rounds is what they sold.

She delivered! The fight was action packed. Ups and downs. And she proved to the world she has what it takes to compete with the best in the world and I personally thought she won. But it was close it should have been a draw if anything else. Amazing female fight. It deserved to headline! Congrats to both ladies.

I think Serrano won, she won R5 10-8 easy! If it was 3 min rounds Katie would have been done. But congrats to both for a classic. Crazy fight. 😳

i feel ya. it was incredible fight. counting punched and points in real time with as fast as these two are i could see it going either way counted by the same people again if they had to watch again, i wanted a draw just because it was such an amazing fight, there was no loser in that fight i do know that.

She won 4 rounds, if she kept pressure on round 7... It would have been a draw or win for sure. She did do great either way.

The next fight? Next fight can go either way! Katie took damage, not saying Amanda didn’t either. But let’s see who is still at the top. Katie is like Mayweather Jr, out pointed Amanda, and Amanda didn’t make any adjustments mid fight. That’s what she has to learn. If it’s not working, change it, mix it up.

Top gal Amanda. Many men in boxing should tune in and learn how to handle defeat in a fight that close. Truly inspirational. I hope there is a rematch because they both put an amazing performance and them both and the world deserves a rematch. BRAVO.

I think Amanda gave away the fight after the 6th. She stopped using the jab that worked wonders for her before even to the point of outboxing Katie in stretches while handcuffing Katie's right hand. Katie saw it and took full advantage by the 7th scoring with her faster hands on the inside since Amanda was coming in headhunting with single shots. Hopefully she and her team will correct this tactical mistake for the rematch.

Two great fighters & showing real class outside the ring as well. When you come up against the champion you must defeat that champion & getting close is just not enough. What happened in this fight is that Amanda Serrano came real close. She had that chance in the 5th round but just couldn't take it because Katie Taylor showed her strength & resilience. I think it was a fair result to a fight between two great fighters & look forward top a rematch.

Imo, the commentators were pretty bias early on in the fight, they kind of made it seem like Serranos dominated the first 6 rounds. I felt Katie won probably like 3 of the first 4 rounds, I mean nothing really happened in the first 4 rounds, but she landed more punches in 3 of those rounds. Serranos definitely had a big round 5. But she stopped working in those later rounds. People need to understand that landing 44 punches in one round, still only wins that ONE specific round lol. I was expecting a draw though, but in boxing you always have to beat the champion to become the champion. Serranos definitely has the skills to win though, she's more versatile, better physique, stronger, but she just stopped working in the later rounds.

Of course she won other rounds too, but still not enough, she just stopped throwing like some of the later roudns. It was more of a draw imo.

I predicted Amanda in 9. I scored it 6-4 Taylor. More importantly, it was a fantastic fight. Every round had intrigue. Every round had action. The ring IQ for these 2 women is off the charts. Amanda is a great pressure fighter with nice 3-4 punch combinations. Taylor and excellent boxer with underrated slugging ability. The next fight will go to Serrano as she becomes adjusted to 135. Would like to see it Ireland , then the rubber match in Vegas.

It was a clear 6-4 in rounds victory for Taylor. Possibly a 7-3 , as one of the judges had it. But definitely a 6-4. Is this the first time you've ever watched a fight.? Are you aware of how to score a fight ?

Can't see a rematch happening as Serrano is an extremely dangerous fighter who could beat Taylor, which would look especially bad if it was held in Ireland.

That was an unbelievable fight! Historic!!! Both of these women are class acts and should be so proud of themselves. They did their countries so proud!!

Incredibly humble serrano i do believe it was 6 rounds to 4 to katie bur if it was 12 round 3 mins i believe serrano wouldve wom or potentially got a knock out and this is coming from a irish man

They both put on a great fight 👏both great champions..I guess another fight would be different simple because they know one another a little more.

I was really afraid that Amanda was going to be less respectful in her lose speech... I am a fan but I know she is proud. I think she was just the right amount of humble. Mad respect. I agree with the decision, I think Amanda was ahead and Katie did just what she had to in the last few rounds to take the win. Great fight. In my casual opinion from watching the highlights.. Serrano controlled the middle of the ring , got Taylor wobbly and may have thought she was far ahead. I think Serrano had a solid jab but more often than not was pushing forward and punching off balance and Taylor was getting the better of the exchanges every time which is what helped With the judges scoring points for Taylor.

I couldn’t stand Jake Paul a year ago but the more I see what he does for others at his expense is admirable.

I gave Katie the fight. She was the better Boxer light on her toes the 1st 3 rounds. I gave her 2 out of those 1st 3 rounds. And she won the later rounds. Great foot work. Amanda is a bulldog. Super aggressive. But Katie was able to immobilize Amanda's aggressive straight forward bulldog style with her foot work, and slick counter punching. Figure there's two minutes in the round. And Katie's boxing skills were transparent. She countered when she had too, and stood her gorund when she had too. Great fight. You have to take it away from the Champ. And Serrano didn't do enough.

Amanda outlanded her 173 to 147 PLUS Hurt Taylor multiple times. Taylor punches has little affect against Amanda crazy

It doesn’t matter how many total punches were landed. It round by round. She outlined Taylor in rounds 5-6 but the rest went to Taylor.

Bro this isn't basketball. It is round by round. If you land 50-0 in round 1 and lose all the other rounds you lose 9-1 even if you outlanded the opponent.

Serrano landed 173/624 punches A whopping 27 percent landed. (1 out of every 4🤣) Taylor 147/376 an insane 39 percent. Punching the air and they claiming robbery 💀🤣🤣🤣🤣 1 out of every 4. You are better off choosing c as an answer on an exam than Serrano landing a punch. Please stop with the nonsense. She lost. Taylor neatly landed 40 percent of her shots and lost 4 rounds out of 10 but she definitely won.

Outside Rd 5 and 6 Amanda hit alot of air and got beat to the punch and countered all night long 8 rds to 2 go watch it back with those dick riding commentary one of which Taylor took to school McCaskill Taylor owned her lol 😆 go watch it back Taylor won 8 of the 10 rds

No way Serrano lost imo. Serrano was the one putting the pressure all fight. Landing the big shots, walking through Taylor’s best shots. Nearly knocked Taylor out! I just don’t see any way you give Taylor the win. Yes she has a big heart. Yes she is a champion. But without doubt she won 3 rounds max and that ms generous. But ya know just me opinion from my perspective of the fight live.
