Unfortunately @bcb7443 some people don't see it as education.....its the very reason slave masters didn't want slaves learning to read you can't lie about past events/ you can't hold people in bondage/ you can teach hate if people have access to books that go against the negative falsehood someone could read & end up changing their mind....and that's what they fear people changing their mind

I think it's stupid to band that book. Allow people to read it and form their own opinions. If I was a parent. I would purchase every banned book, and allow my child to read it and then we can have a conversation. Restriction is not the way to keep your children safe. Knowledge is.

My issue is the audacity to talk about January 6 as one of the darkest days for America… did everyone forget that only one visitor died that day but how many innocent souls died due to the hands of terrorists on 9-11. January 6 was not a good day for America but to classify it as one of the darkest days is ludicrous. Furthermore, this “book ban” if you actually listen to the words she says, it was an institution that restricted the access to it for elementary school students who do not have the vocabulary capacity. It is not like parents who want to read this book with their children cannot access it in Florida, just in one organization. Stop painting Florida as a villainous state. I really like Drew and enjoy watching some of her content but to make an episode so politically focused is just sad.

Well if you want to bring up the darkest days in America then you have to talk about the genocide and enslavement that happened on U.S. soil not 9/11 as awaful as it was. But that's the real reason for the ban remember! A certain demographic of parents don't want to tell their kids the truth. The majority of American history the way it's taught is a lie. Now with the advancement of technology, more access to public records and even DNA the government can no longer contain the narrative anymore.
