Your frustrations about the CV make sense from the perspective of wishing that you could have done something in that moment, but ultimately the reason for the loss was that your team made worse tactical choices than the opponents. That includes their CV, who made sure he saw the late game and properly used the strengths of his ship to secure the win. I think that you would like to have a game design where individual talent could always pull a game out; understandable given your prodigious ability in the game. I think that I prefer game design that gives better team tactics the edge. I believe that CV play does just that.

Prinz Eugen has better concealment than Mainz! 11.5 km on Eugen, 12km on Mainz! WTF WG? Also Eugen at 11.5 is not anything noticeably worsw than the 11.3 that Amalfi gets!

@Strangely Repulsive how about DD players? Because their just as if not more guilty and harder to counter. At least you can delete a deteced CV, but a DD got secret AP absorption shields and cloaking device.

In the hands of even a semi-experienced player that ship is stupid OP though. I think I literally average 100k damage in it, and I am not even that good of a DD player. \o/

I swear he could take an Orlan into a T10 battle and do 198k damage, get a kraken, double strike, Confederate, and high caliber. Just narrowly missing solo warrior.

What if you'd have used the SAP to finish the trento before he got the chance to get the torps off ? I don't like sticking to one ammo type either but that decision seemed a tad more hubristic than strategic.

Gotta agree with the title of this vid hated all the lower tier Italian cruisers then I got the Amalfi. Actually enjoying a decent win rate.

Q; i have ground down the Italian special missions (all 4 levels) and still do not have the complete collection series so no special italian captain. Will that collection remain to be done or be terminated in january with the missions?? Do i have to buy premium boxes without any guarantee to get him???

They're going to add the boxes in for coal later. I do advise trying to get it done now, though. Also, use the duplicates when you have enough to finish it off (don't use them before then, because they increase your chance of a duplicate, so it's not a good trade).

Do you think these ships are balanced or need some kind of change? If so what change, reduces smoke firing penalty maybe?

Pouy Nabi It’s a result of the replay - it removes crosshairs so that all you see is the circle in the center! If you watch Flamuu’s streams he uses a standard crosshair when he plays. I’ve had this exact question too! I like the minimalist look.

I started to run Sansonetti on Amalfi, because of the bigger impact than running him on Brindisi and Venezia. At T8 you got better chance to turn the battle to a win than on T10 which is sometime packed with potatoes

The smoke is basically shit, super situational. No other ways around, it is what it is..

It is such a good example of a battle influence with one carrier player being better then the other 😀 A thing which was supposed to be fixed by cv rework. But for me the current cv's are not that big of a deal, the real question is, who invented the infinite planes.

Well... It's not actually infinite. Yes, they keep regenerating, but the battle time of 20 minutes is short enough to essentially give any decent team a chance to "deplane" a new cv. A squad with 2 or less planes will get shot down before any attack could commence

But if any CV player is worth their salt, they can just waste one squadron, give it a speed boost and have about 3 planes already ready to go once your squadron is depleted. No, in my opinion, the worst thing about CVs is still not the fact that you can get plebs to buy themself a tier 8 Graf Zepps and get roflstomped by the NTRprise player on the enemy team. Nope, its the poor little things that get half their HP stripped away from them by a single rocket volley they have no chance in evading.

I’m finding it a bit hard to carry in. Damage is consistent but it’s hard to have wow games

It is up to the enemy if it can aim: if you suddenly find yourself in a crossfire or turn need to avoid some torps you evaporate very quickly: this citadel (like on Roma) is difficult to miss out and you don't get any nose armor to bow in

@OnboardG1, the reloads for that caliber is way too slow. Blame the DD Mafia for crying about counters. A Mafia flamu is a made man in.

Zara was so hit and miss, some matches it would wreck face, other matches you would get nothing but overpens on broadside light cruisers with SAPI. The only thing I thing it was reliable on was DD's and RN BB superstructure, but sold it ASAP (Gorizia is a much better DD hunter with hat hydro anyway, so I kept that). First match in the Almalfi slaughtered some RN CA's with the AP, wrecked a DD with SAPI in short order. I'm a bog average player and even I pulled a Kraken an 160K damage in my first match in he Almalfi, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on even more pizza guns!

That’s how you know they just got asashio

It didn't happen in this video, but I find that the steering gears gets knocked out almost every game. Some games more then twice, so make sure you take last stand as your second captain skill!

The Italian Shine VS DD's and Light cruisers when you get into heavy and BB's you wanna keep distance and use sap .. Venezia hitting a yam you can get some good chip damage with sap with that said with ap you may get 5-7k salvos with sap you get 9-11k damage per salvo.. but you main focus should be DD's 100% you smash them so much harder then any other cruiser or BB really per salvo with sap

I saw a full health IJN DD get spotted in a tier 8 game. Lets just say that what came after that was absurd cruelity to underaged ships. I mean... it went from full HP to NADA without a detonation. Oof? Yes. A paddlin'? Of epic proportions.

And people complained about the old CVS... 😁 by the end of that match the old cv would have had maybe 1 - 2 squads left.... So there would be counterplay and a way to win the so deserved game... Thanks Wg

Hey flamu, May I suggest that instead of doing Captain builds at the end of your commentaries, have a dedicated vid exclusively for Captain builds and have vid exclusively for the match. You can then refer the match vid to the build vid and vice versa

You cant directly but you can fail to rank 1 (if you have enough patience and luck). GK is the weakest T10 BB at the moment - until the buff. You cant hit anything and you are a big fat Free XP pinata for every HE firing CL/CA and BB. Moskva is a different ball game but you have to be very careful - you should learn how to attack backwards angled (its actually better).

@Brad Watson, too much blame going around. Glamu crying about CVs when the culprit were those three highly avoidable torps. After that he was a mono shot to any and everything that got wind of him. Every ship in this game has a counter and a Lynch pin, and their expiration date begins at the start of the battle and ends when we made too many mistakes. Flamu found his and blames everyone but himself. He could have at least blame the rudder characteristics.

I must be the strangest player ever. Firstly I dont think Smolensk is even remotely close to being OP. Secondly I unlocked Montecuccoli today and Im inlove. People say its hatefully bad but I love it. It just feels so agile and nimble and deadly accurate. I could wish for some better AP pen but other than that I do like it, SAP feels alright, sure HE would be better but I dont mind some variety.

TBH, I called her SHITALFI. I was doing well in ZARA and looking forward to the tier VIII. But man, the Shitalfi was a huge disappointment and the Brindisi a much welcome relief. I had a 60~70% WR on the ZARA, fall down to around 40% on the Shitalfi and went back to 60~70% on the Brindisi. I can't wait to get my VENEZIA (half the way through).

14:47 you know poor CVs don't do enough damage so WG help them nerfing the AA to the ground...

This ship depends highly on the team, the CV, the weather, the tide, the seagulls etc.. It can be fun if all circumstances are perfect. Otherwise you are unable to carry or turn the game and play a significant role. This ship is as weak as the Yorck, minus the HE fire potential, the gun reload is miserable just like the fire in smoke penalty (latter makes the smoke just unusable). Just the usual mediocre target ship for the soviet OPs and CVs.

I find I win more games when their are CVs in the game to spot. I struggle when I can not find the dds or other ships.

I plays CV and think that it has good amount of influence and still need skill. Good enough amount of AA can deter their planes (not T10 CV though in my experience) and some mistake can cripple CV’s damage capability. You’re right though that at late game there’re little things you can do to counter the CV. It comes down to how attentive the CV player on each side, drop fighters deals damage or even provide AA for the team. I usually try to stay with the remnants of my team in late game to provide AA support but someone just ignore me and went out die then blame CVs.

Yeah, fuck CVs. Some of us (sadly few) who were Alpha testers told WG they were a bloody awful idea, that everyone would immediately think of them as WoT arty, and they'd prove a nightmare to balance. Seen nothing in the few years since to make me think I was mistaken.

carriers fucking ruin this game. Before the update they was pretty well balanced... but now they are fucking awful. Almost feels like they have unlimited planes!

This game is World of Warships, not Warplanes. They need to remove CV's.

What's this nonsense about there being no counterplay to CV? You can sometimes shoot down planes so he'll do less risk-free damage to you the next time, if you shoot down enough planes you can even force him to fly around and keep you spotted better and safer than any DD could while his planes regenerate rather than farming free damage off you. Don't you see that surface ships can completely nullify CV? Nullify, I say!

Announce CV deletion... the most cancer class in the game and stupidly overpowered

Really hate how much Flamu continues to exaggerate the capabilities of CVs these days. They're far from "God class" dude when in a top tier X Midway you fly a squadron all the way out to your target, get your 1st strike off, and by the time you turn the squadron around to attempt a followup strike they're all dead and especially so if there are 2 or 3 ships in the area to shoot at you simultaneously. This means you have to fly out to target just for a single strike with any of the 3 squadron types with how fast you lose planes, but in this case say you start the match with rocket planes and after reaching your 1st target you'll get maybe 2-4k dmg on that 1st strike max, then you lose all your rocket planes after strike #1 because you can't turn your squadron 180 degrees before they all die, so you launch your torp squadron, fly them out to a target, get off a single torp drop and if you're lucky 2 of them land for another 5k tops and usually no floodings, then get all your planes shot down per the norm now. So, now you launch your bomb squadron, fly out to a target again for only the 3rd strike of the game so far, and here's where maybe you get over 5-6k if you land your Midway bomb drop, now get all your bombers shot down per the norm while trying to swing around for the elusive 2nd strike. Rinse and repeat now, launch the rocket squadron again which is now not a full squadron because of how many you lost on the 1st strike attempt, fly to target, launch rockets and get 1k in damage, lose all your planes, etc. etc. Flamu, my man, if you're sitting here still trying to act like CVs are "God tier" and the most powerful and annoying ship class then clearly you just don't even play CV enough lately after the rework to understand the struggle of how hard it is to even break 100k on an average CV game. I wish you would live stream yourself playing 3 CV matches in a row at tier 8 or 10, and see how well you actually make out with the "God class". CVs have been getting nerfed steadily ever since the big rework while AA gets nothing but buff after buff. The latest update has gone yet another step towards nerfing CVs and increased followup drop delay time, so now you must wait something like 7-8 seconds after each drop to try and drop again... With entire squadrons being shot down just trying to turn around 180 degrees, this added 7 or 8 second delay before you can attack again has further enforced the single strike per squadron mentality... CVs used to be able to exert full map control with multiple squadrons and time delayed attacks to force people's repair parties and then flood them with a torp strike. Now though, after the big rework and all the current buffs to reinforced AA sectors and all ship's AA performance ratings in general, you're seriously still talking on your videos about how CVs are still "God tier" to you and just such a nuisance still. I'm not even a CV main, but with the average super cruiser or high tier BB readily breaking 200k dmg per game how are you going to pretend CVs are still too good when it's a great match if you can break 100k in a f*cking Midway? Stop exaggerating how "God tier" CVs supposedly still are according to you because anyone playing at any tier of CV even max tier knows it is frustrating to do any kind of consistent damage in a standard CV game. You saying shit like this all the time is adding to WG's willingness to rape the CV class over and over until a monster game in a tier 10 Midway will suddenly be just breaking 100k. CVs used to be OP back before the whole overhaul and it was possible to break 200k and 300k in Midway. However, it's been a while now since CVs were nerfed to hell during the rework and endless buffs to AA introduced time and time again, yet here you sit to this day still talking about CVs like they're out there destroying everything in their path every match... No, it's just not the case anymore and if you want to prove your stance, then ok go hop in a Midway and stream a non cherry picked game of yours in it. I guarantee you will not even come close to some of the damage numbers you've been pulling off lately in all your recent new ship review videos. So it's ok to have ships like Asashio, Smolensk, Stalingrad, Kremlin, Bourgogne, Benham, etc. where you are literally setting world dmg records, but CVs are still soooo OP right, they're still "God class" and if a CV player can hit you with a single strike that's too many for you. It's BS.
