(SPOILERS PROB) i see it with sunny and basil, sunny is furious at basil for “making” him do this. apparently i heard that sunny didn’t recognize it as basil, but simply as a voice, it wasn’t until after the deed was done that he realized it was basil. so it’s not that sunny stabbed his sister, it’s that he stabbed basil. he’s happy because he knows he will probably die with the secret. at first i thought it was kel and i didn’t have any omori explanation for that

( SPOILER WARNING FOR OMORI ) in short: sunny and mari got into an argument about the upcoming concert the two of them were doing together. sunny, overwhelmed by everything, pushed mari down the stairs out of pure anger. mari falls down the stairs, breaking her neck in the process. basil, who was lurking in the background made a mental photobook of the events. this photobook isn't real. sunny runs down the stairs, and brings her to her bed. she didnt look human. basil(i believe) tells sunny to then frame that it was a s-ic-d3. sunny and basil then bring mari to a nearby tree, to hang her on it. mari's body silently hung from the tree, as both sunny and basil slowly feel guilty. four years pass by, and sunny had yet to leave his house. you can choose between opening the door for kel, which unlocks the real world segment. or, you can choose not to open the door, which keeps the real world segment locked. this unlocks the hikkiomori route

1:02 yo, this bit is pretty clever! it does great job at anticipation - you see Jenny slightly leaning down, which preps you for the extreme zoom, and her reaction itself warns the viewer of the upcoming... incident.
