This looks more like a coming of age movie than a romcom. Sheldon Cooper in the first episode of TBBT had more chances of finding love than Dakota in this story.

I donno, I've watched the movie just now and from my expectations the movie ends exactly at the point where what I would have expected to be the storyline of the movie would begin if it hadn't become clear throughout the movie that that never was an option. One keeps watching because one keeps thinking the upfront expectation will come in, latest at the "happy end" and when it doesn't the disappointment makes one regret having watched it.

British people can move to USA for high school and hold on to their accents. It’s easier to hold on to an accent if that’s how you originally learned to speak the language or if you learned it during childhood.

@@oscarfun100 I was pleasantly surprised. Her slightly unhinged and brusque character gave the movie more of a feeling of dread and impending doom. I like Dakota though, generally speaking, so I can't hate on her for any role.
