Did you see Astruc's original Scarabella design? In it he had drawn Alya with an afro. I WISHED that they didn't scrap the idea. Such a wasted opportunity they could've represented so many children with that texture of hair. Also I just think Alya would've looked so beautiful. 🦊🦊🦊

Marinette would never have had that backstory, because she's Thomas Astruc's virtual daughter. Really, there has been this screenshot floating around the internet of Thomas saying he had a Chinese ex-girlfriend named Sabine and that Marinette is what he imagined their child to be like. She was always going to be the main character, and there's no way Thomas will let a character based on himself- Tom Dupain, be a villain. Once again, Thomas is the central problem.

Thinking about it, Alya choosing other heroes would also be very different compared to Marinette. While Marinette is more willing to choose people who are literally and figuratively closer to her, I believe Alya would think harder about it. She'll probably would have already thought about who the other users would be before she ever has to make that decision.

Oh 100% Adrien should have been the protagonist. Marinette has essentially a perfect life: both parents, who support her, friends, no social isolation, I could go on. Adrien has so much more interesting a life, actual conflict, actual PERSONALITY, and yes, his parents are both involved and entertwined in the conflict. Plus the idea of Chat Noir being a superhero (given tne powerset of destruction seeming more "morally ambiguous") is more rich and interesting than Ladybug (who so clearly and obviously only ever does good). Also Alya is actually intelligent. She's an aspiring investigative journalist. How cool would that be?! Detective type superhero trying to figure out the identity of the villain. Hello?!

Hmm. I have a theory. It could be that they are supposed representation the good luck and bad luck that way. Lady bug is lucky because she has no problems or at least not the worst problems. She is born lucky due having a loving family and at least being upper middle class. Whereas cat noir is unlucky because of his issues. Like not havingthe best family, (idk about his mom though)and although he is rich he feels alone at times. (Though I don't really believe black cats are bad luck but that's just the show logic).

Alya wouldn't even need to be in love with chat noir she could still be in love with nino and it'd be so much better to see THAT beautiful relationship progress in the show

For me, I think Marinette is and can be a good main character if the show writers doesn’t have her just focus on getting together with Adrien and more with her growing as a person and a heroine. Like her journey of becoming more confident, or becoming a leader of the Miraculous team. But there is a multitude of problems with her. One is what I said before, they focus too much on her pursuing her crush on Adrien, especially when it goes nowhere, especially five seasons in, when Marinette could also be shown hanging out with her friends or making designs and furthering her fashion career or even her struggles of balancing of being a hero and a civilian. The second is of course the “quirks” that Marinette has, mainly her obsession with Adrien, and treating it as if it’s a joke when in reality, it is not and it’s something Marinette should learn to overcome before she gets into a relationship with Adrien. The third is that Marinette gets way too much focus in my opinion. Sure, she is the main character, but it’s fine to have her take a backseat and share the spotlight with others. I’ve seen shows do that, and they’re pretty great. Cause with so much interesting characters, like Adrien and Alya and Nino and even Chloé, and we should see them outside of Marinette’s life. Not just the way Marinette views them like Marinette’s best friend, Marinette’s crush, Adrien’s best friend, or Marinette’s bully. But I don’t mind the idea of Alya being the Ladybug holder. It would be nice to have a boy-girl friendship that doesn’t grow into romance, have a main character whose POC, and Marinette can still be a major character in the show (I mean some of my favorite characters are major characters). Heck, now that I think about it, it would be interesting if Marinette is the MC and isn’t a super powered hero overall. Granted, it would be hard to come up with conflicts that at least makes her interesting, but it’s possible with enough work to flesh out the idea.

"Marinette gets way too much focus" THIS. There are these official clips on LB channel and one of them is supposed to be about Adrien's best moments from season 1. Lmao there're literally two minutes of Adrien doing random boring stuff or talking to someone off-screen and the other portion of screen-time is just Marinette stalking him. Actually, someone out there even made a count of how much screen-time Marinette and Adrien get each season and Adrien gets twice as less as Marinette even though we have pretty much seen everything Marinette's character has to offer, really.

My Little Pony: FiM had the problem in the first season where they kept shoving the main character into episodes she didnt belong in. FORTUNATELY by the time season 2 rolled around, the writers learned to stop doing that and allowed episodes where the MC didn't even have to be present and we could focus on others' perspectives! If only MLB did that too =')

In some aspect I would agree that Alya would be a great superhero and leader figure because of the good traits and qualities that you mentioned and many had seen in the show, including myself. - She gets the job done - Takes the superhero bussiness seriously (Unlike a certain someone) - Does a lot of research and not to mention her enthusiasm to learn more about everything. (Which would make her the detective figure of the superhero team) - Can be cunning and sneaky like the fox - Determined and doesn't take crap from anyone, and would stand up to them However, with her character as a civilian I wouldn't trust her much. She is just as problematic as Marinette in a way, another screwed up character arc, because she is a bad friend and a pushy person. - Despite Marinette, her supposed BFF saying 'no' she still forced her out of her comfort zone. - I didn't like how she was handled in a lot of times when it comes to her shipping Marinette with Adrien, because the way she is doing it is very wrong. Even now, she always tries to 'force' the two together, but this happens mostly with Marinette. Yes Marinette is bad news, but Alya always makes it seem like Adrien is the only option for Marinette, every single time - While she does to research, she jumps to conclusions a lot of times. Like In SE1 with the Lady Wifi incident. Or doesn't checks facts when it comes to Lilla (seriously every time she is around Alya, she somehow able to take away that brain energy from Alya). - While it did do good when she brought the turtle miraculous (Optigami) still she disobeyed LB's orders, and rules twice. Once in Optigami because of mentioned reason and in Rocketeer when she told her secret to Nino (I mean where did that even come from?! She was able to keep Rena Rouge's secret back in SE2. Now she can't for some reason? Like come on that's just stupid.) There is a lot of reasons that I don't like Alya a lot, but if I list them all up I will end up staying here all night. Anyways, while she does good as a superhero, sadly she doesn't fully qualify for it in the long run. Or at least I wouldn't trust her much. Well, that's about it. Sorry for the long rant.

Alya as ladybug would be confused and not that quick in decisions, but that's what would make her incredible. Her and cat noir would makes plans with each other and maybe they will fail sometimes, but's that the joy of it. She wouldn't be as perfect as Mari but that's it, that's what I wanted from Mari! An imperfect character with wrong takes and decisions, not the big ones, the small ones. And psst, i feel like i would love a platonic bonding with Adrien and alya ✨

If Fu met Ladybug in the past which led to him picking marinette in the future, doesn’t that imply that the miraculous universe functions on closed loop theory of time travel (because despite going to the past, it still didn’t change the future because it was meant to happen). But that doesn’t make any sense when you think of time travel compared to the rest of the show. In Chat Blanc, Bunnix was disappearing because her timeline was practically destroyed by Chat Blanc, and was getting replaced by another timeline, which implies that miraculous uses the Back to the future version of time travel. Neither happens in closed loop theory, or multiverse. So this means that miraculous is somehow functioning on 2 different versions of time travel? How does that work? Did time travel all of a sudden change during season 5? 🦊

Time travel is just all around broken, but I believe it's supposed to be a "set series of events" that can be changed but shouldn't. I assume nothing happened between Ladybug's time travel back to Fu and Fu giving her the miraculous, and if something did, Bunnix would get involved. Not sure how much sense that made.

Alya could be written to be a better Ladybug than Marinette, but in that matter, Marinette could be written to be a better Ladybug. The problem is not the character, the problem is the writer. Thomas just doesn't care enough to actually think things through before putting them on paper. It's sad how he thinks that her crush on Adrien is a personality trait. As far as I know, during s1 and the first half of s2 writing, Thomas was not that involved; maybe that's why until s3 the show actually had good writing and things were developing! Thomas is good at having ideas, surely! But he is not good at writing. It's been 4 SEASONS and Marinette had a total of ZERO development in her relationship with Adrien. You know what? THE SHOW HAS BARELY HAD ANY DEVELOPMENT AT ALL! IN FACT, Marinette and Adrien WERE ACTUALLY CLOSER IN SEASON 1!

I honestly think Alya being LB would be sooo cool Imagine instead of the lady blog being her trying to uncover LB’s identity, it’s her doing things like live streaming her and cat noir fighting bad guys or just posting ab being a super hero (obviously without revealing her identity)

To be honest Alya kinda showed she can be a confident leader. I mean example is always one, though, - Marinette. Mari is basically lead by Alya since day one of their friendship. Mari always asks for her advice and Alya even showed Mari how to stand up for herself in the Origins episode

You know the interesting thing about this video is that in Stone Heart Marinette actually tried to give her miraculous to Alya but Alya was put in danger before she had the chance so she stepped up to be ladybug and the whole episode really made it seem like Alya should have been the hero as one of the first things she talks to Marinette about is how cool the superhero majestia is how she wants to be like her and marinette's iconic line of the only way evil can Triumph is if good people do nothing was something Alya said to her

Fair point! But I suppose in this alternate reality, it's still possible for them to get together SOMEHOW, just not in the same way as in canon. Perhaps they still get trapped together and because they're together, she can't transform into Scarabella and reveal her identity. They get to know each other and then Cat Noir eventually saves them and gives Alya the chance to transform and help save the day. Something like that could work!

@@TheArtisticAloubell Heck it doesn't even have to be when danger occurs, it could be a whole arc during civillian life, like for example, Alya and Nino are seated next to each other in class and get to know each other, they start out with talking about their interests and eventually exchange numbers to talk when not at school, and build up to hanging out and going through complications! It could work to, I'd think it'd be fun!

Miraculous' writing is like a trolley problem but instead of pulling the lever or leaving it alone, picking one bit of lore or the other, the writers just multi-track drift

🦊 Honestly, I agree that Alya would be better and more interesting than Mari in… literally every regard, I don‘t know if really making her a full superhero would be the best idea. There is a KZreadr named „Callimara“. I don‘t know if you have heard of her, but she made several Rewrites and Redesigns of Miraculous Characters, one of which was obviously Alya. Even she said that it would be more interesting to keep Alya in just the Investigative Journalist role she had in Season 1. However, I still think everything you said is true and it just goes to show that there are thousands of possibilities to make this show good, yet the incompetent writers always just happen to pick the worst way to progress the story.

Honestly, I don't mind if anyone writes comics AU where Alya got the Ladybug Miraculous because if you remember in Origins, Marinette sneakily put her miraculous box in Alya's bag. It would be great to see her in action while Marinette can focus on her normal life. Honestly, I wouldn't say she's a better Ladybug than Marinette but.. I think we can all know that she would be an amazing job as we can see in Hack-san's ep. For Adrien, well he's supposed to be the main character but.. I feel like they left him out a lot even though the show title literally said "Ladybug & CAT NOIR". But he really doesn't have his own screen time sadly. For Marinette.., we all understand she has a perfect life and perfect family but.. we actually don't really know her backstory yet.. Lastly, screw the girl power because we have a lot of magical girls and western cartoons out there. And honestly, it would be nice if this show aim at both genders just like what they did with "party crasher" ep.

Adrien really should have been the main character. Since the writer wanted the protagonist to be a girl then he should have just swapped the genders of the leads. The adventures of Chat Noir and Mr. Bug. I think it works because Adrien still needs to be Chat Noir because it makes the most since for his/her personality. But I think it would cut down on some of Marinette's creepy behavior because a lot of the stuff that Marinette does is messed up but I think if it was a guy they'd see it easier and scrap it.

8:20 to answer your question , alya kept her secret identitie hidden well UNTIL ladybug spilled the beans herself in catalyst , her ordeal with nino in season 4 is something else and is parallel to that of ladybug and chat noirs , trust issues are there except they KNEW each others identities already

Alya would be a great main character I would be surprised to see the results of the sudden turn of event for the endless possibilities of different story with a not so different ending perhaps.

Alia being Ladybug would be so much better. Assuming Catnoir still likes Ladybug that would mean while Alia is helping Marinette get with Adrien while he's crushing on her. A so much more interesting than what we have now.

Ahnohter way to make Marinnette a better MC would be just like, have her and fu be realted? like great grandfather , uncle or something. Might need to make him younger. But this, would solve a lot. For one, now Marinette has more of a connection to the mircalous and getting them back is more to her then just a 'duty', having Adrien and Marinette both be realted to important characters in the nerrative. Also, this be probaly a better explnation as to why she is such a skilled holder in the first palce beyond. girlpower.

Yeah, it's a shame that Alya didn't find the earrings during Origins, where she would have become the Ladybug wielder from the beginning. It's interesting to think about, and I wonder if Adrien would have developed a crush on Alya's incarnation of Ladybug still (likely, she totally would have stood up to Hawkmoth in a similar way to how Marinette did). This would have made his everyday and long denied crush on Marinette a bigger conflict, as the LoveSquare would feature four different people (two of which were in a rather healthy relationship for a pair of 14 year olds) rather than just the two identities of two people.

At this point, I think anyone can be a better ladybug than Marinette....

I can understand why Mari has so much focus because she has to fit into the plot somehow since she is so disconnected from the plot otherwise, but Adrien should have so much more focus

It's good to find someone who in my opinion, I find that Alya with this miraculous would be 1000 times better. Already the fact that she has sisters would add to the difficulty of hiding her secret. I can see Nora finding out that she is Scarabella and trying to dissuade her from continuing to be a hero and then putting up with it. Plus the fact that she has sisters reinforces the ying and yang since Adrien is an only child. After Nino I don't think they would date since they dated because of ladybug. In short, Alya has all the abilities to be a permanent Scarabella. Imagine the heroes she will choose are the ones from the Gloob video.😂 🦊

To be fair, context matters. The first time around, Ladybug revealed Nino and Alya's identities to each other. The second time around, Alya is telling the secret to someone who has already been a hero and knows the situation. It's not like she told someone completely new and out of the loop. Plus, Mari was still enlisting Nino's help as Carapace, so idk...I don't think it's that bad.

Alya as Scarabella would indeed be a better Ladybug than Marinette and her stories would be more compelling and driven with how she has to balance her superhero duties AND her blog AND even defeat her sisters and purify them while not letting anyone know that she is Scarabella and she can even be able to use Trixx and the 🦊 Miraculous more often. Nino would probably have an Arc of trying to get Marinettes attention as a love interest but as we all know, she would be hung on Adrien and it would even be a circle or a different love square with Alya and Adrien and Marinette and Nino. Oh how the possibilities of better writing and engaging stories we couldve had, but we wont now nor will we ever get them.............sigh

It's definitely a fun thing to think about!

With Ayla, I feel like she would be like Luz in someway. Both being able to be the kind of person they always wanted to be (Luz being a witch and Ayla being a hero). It's interesting cause Ayla could've almost became the ladybug holder since she has met Fu before when she was at his shop and I think after knowing about her, he would've given her the miraculous. I definitely see Ayla being excited to becoming a hero like her comics and because she's a reporter, she would jump at the chance to become an awesome hero while also blogging about the things happening in Paris. However, I think she would learn the stakes of becoming a hero. That life isn't like comics and movies, it's a real scary situation and having to be careful to keep your identity a secret but also making sure not to trust so easily (like with Lila which you would think with her skills of wanting to become a reporter that she would look into Lila and not trust her so easily).

Let's face the facts: if Alya was Scarabella, she wouldn't have the Ladyblog and Marinette would actually BE "just a normal girl with a normal life".

@@TheArtisticAloubell I honestly wouldn't mind to see a Show based on that instead of a creepy, obsessed baker girl centering her entire world around a young male model who may or may not be a fake human.

Now I really want to make an AU with Alya as Ladybug ( Scarabella ) and and Cat Noir will be the same. Carapace and Queen bee would join the team later on as she becomes a guardian possibly a fox holder too as a unification or as an alter ego. They would be permanent members instead of just a "hero of the day" thing the show loves to do. After that I want to add secondary characters ( Viperion, Purple Tigress and Ryuko ) since they're great heroes and can act as backup for the main ones. They would keep their Miraculous too, but only show up when necessary. Monarch would actually be a threat and all the Miraculous don't need to be used. ( Id probably rewrite the powers too. ) Scarabella and Cat Noir would fall on love and maybe Queen Bee and Purple Tigress too. It would be quite interesting.

1:50 funny enough Alya does get to be the mc but in an alternate universe within the Shadybug and Claw Noir special

this is what i’ve been saying! and she definitely wouldn’t sneak to people’s houses for reasons… i love her supportive personality and it’s super frustrating we hadn’t seen Marinette ask Alya even ONCE about her problems, it’s all about Adrien (more recently LB problems) also, even her costume says that she was more prepared to be a heroine than Marinette + Alya and Tikki go well together and i think that Trixx and Marinette would be cool!

imagine the timeline where alya finds the ladybug miraculous after marinette puts it in her bag, i wonder if marinette would tell alya she gave her the miraculous and i wonder what fu would say if the girl that he didn't give the miraculous too was using it. definetly would be interesting only thing wrong with it is ether they would need to dumb down alya or she would have found out who hawk/shadowmoth/monarch is in at least season 1 or 2🦊

I do agree with you about Alya would be a better ladybug. She definitely has the capability, and personality, and not to mention that she actually studied the ladybug's power. But in 6:08 , I was confused when she studied ladybugs power, Alya said: "Your only limits are the ones you put on yourself!", so does that imply that ladybug has limitless power? Because honestly I didn't understand what she said.

Honestly, anybody would make a better LB than Marinette. She just has no potentials to show as she is too perfect or her flaws are swept under the rug. And she’s allowed to gaslight a higher authority figure like Su Han( I forgot his name) because she doesn’t like being told how to do her job like some bratty teenager. Even though in the real world, people give you constructive criticisms or have you face consequences, not out of malicious intent, but rather for the sake of guiding you and teaching you. The only time she was likable, for me anyway, was what was suppose to be the “pilot” episode (which was shown in episode one of season two for some weird reason). I also like that Alya isn’t controlling unlike marinette. She would actually be willing to involve her partner(s) in a more sensible manner. The fact that Marinette didn’t trust Adrien/CN because of the whole Chat Blanc incident is just so dumb and makes absolutely no sense. The reason being is that risking him being akumatized is risky and could lead to catastrophic consequences (no pun intended). But the same would apply to the risk of Marinette being akumatized which would result in just as bad of consequences since she IS suppose to be the healer and deus ex machina creator who fixes everything. So her controlling behavior makes no sense considering how she was nearly akumatized herself when Lila messed with her school life. She was just ready to take off her earrings and wasn’t even trying to fight. Not to mention, marinette is usually a victim of her own mistakes and behavior and she actually caused more akumatizations than even Chloe or at least as many as her. Especially with how she handles her own jealousy and rivals. And for these reasons, I agree since Alya is a better written character despite being an enabler of stalking and theft. And yeah, she did treat cat noir a whole lot better despite their first interaction. And I agree that Adrien should be the main protagonist. He has more to do with the akumatizations than Marinette does since his father is the main villain and how cool would it be to have a story of a boy who is a tragic hero and his father is the villain. It shows that we are not our parents and we don’t have to be. Not all traits are inherited. And there will come a time when you can finally find the courage to stand up to your abusive parents, stick be your own morals and do what’s right despite what you’ve been through. Oh and that it isn’t wrong to be a bit selfish when you have every right to be considering how Adrien was brought up. I see a LB as being more of a second main character.

I really love the idea of Alya being the holder of the Ladybug Miraculous, and probably will make the series much better in a lot of aspects, im currently working on a Scarabella AU cus i think that can be interisting maybe, and your videos make me rewrite some of the Miraculous powers cus some of them are too similar, to powerful or make no sense xd

Alya would be an excellent carrier of the miraculous of creation, it is almost shown in Hack San but unfortunately it is reduced and we cannot see her shine because "Marinette is the protagonist she must be the savior of the chapter" Something that is shown, unlike Marinette, is that Alya if she seeks to communicate matters, she is very communicative and assertive when she became Scarabella, she acted in a playful and mischievous way but without losing the main idea, she was focused on protecting Paris, she was nervous but still willing, when she meets chat noir she tries to explain to her that ladybug entrusted miraculous to her because she is indisposed but what he does is attack her but she manages to defend herself although it may be illogical that she wins but I'm the only one who thinks that is she good at fighting thanks to her sister nora? Still, he explains everything to her, although chat noir is still upset with the matter and treats Scarabella indifferently, but you realize that in the end they supported each other and had a better dynamic than ladynoir in 4 seasons Another problem in her would be that she publishes everything on her blogs, in the Feast she tries to help ladybug by investigating the miraculous and discovers heroes through history and the symbol of the guardians, she publishes everything on her ladyblog, she believes that this way she helps ladybug to be able to discover the identity of Hawk moth, another problem is that she tells her boyfriend everything, which can cause a problem in the future I admit that my frustrated Shipp is Alya x Chat but just seeing the dynamic of Chat with Scarabella gave me vibes of chaotic brothers who understand each other even though they have problems, Alya worries about Chat at the end of the chapter tells Marinette that I spoke with Chat noir and I explained everything to him if Alya hadn't told him that this ladybug would probably have been Indifferent to Chat and would never have given him an explanation If there was a romance going on between Scarabella and Chat, she had no doubt that they would both be sacrificing every minute of it. Alya would be a good carrier with her advantages and disadvantages but it has been seen that if she recognizes her mistakes, a clear example when she returns the fox miraculous to ladybug and apologizes for the mistake of continuing to tell Nino her identity and mentions that she does not a miraculous trusts her again because of the danger it means for both of them and that Hawk moth knows I still find it a shame that Alya is one of the most hated characters by the miraculous ladybug community, even so the problem lies in Astruc and his bad writing with the characters. Scarabella has a beautiful design, it's a shame we didn't see her with the afro as seen in the sketches. In a way, I feel like in a perfect world, Marinette would still be one of our protagonists (alongside Adrien as equal part protagonists), since I feel like she works well as an audience insert character. She still needs to be interesting and likable ofcourse, but the main part of the story can still revolve around Adrien and the relationship and family drama in his life (after all, thats literally what most of the show is about and also the most intriguing part of the show) ... The main issue really is just that, even though Adrien's life is more important to the show as it is, the show somehow still acts as if Marinette is the more important character ... just have her act as an audience insert character and embrace that, that's okay, she can still have her own struggles and storylines (social anxiety, her passion for fashion design, her obsessive chrush on adrien, which I actually kinda like, sure its a bit over the top, but if yuu just tone it down a bit, it could still work) ... that way both characters fullfill a different part ... Marinette to be the auduence insert and Adrien to drive the main plot.

Oh I guarantee someone has already made this fic XD I know there are probably fanfics of Chloe as Ladybug as well...and that would CERTAINLY be an interesting story! It could be a story of her learning to be less selfish and think of others and becoming a true hero! At first only doing it for the clout, but then doing it legitimately.

Omg yass, Alya should be the ladybug 🐞 holder. I 1000% agree! I find her to be a more interesting character overall over Marinette and she'd make a great foil to Adrien and she wouldn't stalk him like Mari does. Plus Alya's ladybug costume design is so much better than Marinette's. I would definitely watch a version of Ladybug with Alya as Ladybug and Adrien taking on more of a protagonist role. He's got the fodder to make an interesting MC after all and so does Alya. 🦊

I do think there is a limit. Only now do we see now that Alya is more involved what kind of Ladybug she would be. Unfortunately....Mari is on paper an exceptional ladybug. For better or worse being a complete isolated control freak has served her well and it's thanks to her ugliest flaw that caused her to lose the Miraculouses. Her simpitude for Adrian is so bad and Risk had nothing to do with it. But Alya is too liberal. Its because of the business with Ladybug that she even has Nino so I'd argue he wouldn't be in the picture but assuming he was her family and Nino would know that she was Ladybug ages ago and considering Etta, Ella, Nora, and Nino have all been Akumatized she'd have already given Hawk Moth everything he needs for her to be beaten. The only credit is that Alya is incredibly savvy and though the plot effectively keeps her in the dark even though a lot of stuff is super obvious as a amateur journalist and more practical minded she'd likely have discovered Hawkmoth's identity much easier. Additionally if Mister Bug is anything to go by Lucky Charm is a much easier ability to use. Marinette is just so modularly oriented that everything requires complex solutions even to simple problems. Mister Bug wanted a mirror to fight Refektdoll and that's what he got. Presumably with more practice Alya as Scarabella will get something specific to the situation that she needs. Even more so she alluded to the Ladybug Miraculous have the power of creation and instantly solved a problem for Marinette that she would have not gotten on her own. Alya would be more than willing to expand her abilities as best she can. So it's honestly a toss up with maybe more pros in Alya's favor. Say what you will about Mari but her paranoia and polylateral thought process helps, it's basically her crush on Adrian and whenever the writers want Marinette to be extra dumb for the sake of it that makes her a worse Ladybug. Alya has less hang ups and her drive to be a super heroine would push her much further when it comes to using the Miraculouses power but her overzealousness and carefree attitude would likely screw Paris over. That said Alya likely would have much better adaptability. Case in real life. When people who plan intricately see the walls caving in they panic while people like Alya will accept that she's not perfect, she screwed up, but will push forward

Great video Maybe you could make a scenario where Alya did become Ladybug in the beginning & both her & Adrian are crime fighting detective duo that must find the identity of Hawkmoth.

If Alya was Ladybug, imagine how Marinette would still try to win over Adrien while Chat noir is in love with Ladybug and in later seasons tries to get over feelings for Ladybug and direct himself more towards Marinette. Adrien would know Marinette just for being Marinette and she would need to learn to not just be obsessed with Adrien but to love Chat noir too. Imagine MAriChat scenes during all of that XD Alya could still be with Nino and Chat noir wouldn't end with broken heart and would just end up with girl who is there for him on Adrien side and then on Chat noir side.

I don’t really like Marinette, but I don’t think Alya or Marinette should be ladybug. I think adrien should be solo, as he is better off by himself. But like you said, if someone has to be ladybug, it should be Alya. But, Alya wouldn’t be with nino if it wasn’t for Marinette. She trapped them together to protect them, and that is how they got close. And so, if Alya was always ladybug, then she wouldn’t have a boyfriend, so she couldn’t tell him she was scarabella if she wasn’t with him 🦊

Fair point! But I suppose in this alternate reality, it's still possible for Nino and Alya to get together SOMEHOW, just not in the same way as in canon. Perhaps they still get trapped together and because they're together, she can't transform into Scarabella and reveal her identity. They get to know each other and then Cat Noir eventually saves them and gives Alya the chance to transform and help save the day. Something like that could work!

There are ways to make Marinette more interesting, first, get rid of the stalker wall, second, have her be involved directly in Chloe's redemption arc, third, have her be close to Tsurugi and find out Kagami's mother is in cahoots with the main villain (interesting source of conflict), tying into the above Chloe redemption, have Lila either corrupt Sabrina or Zoe, or both of them, making Chloe also an enemy, then have her and Marinette get closer in trying to save her friends.

The way Marinette, her best friend, could become a slow burn tragic villian because of her issues surrounding Adrian and how COOL of a story that could be

If Alya was the ladybug we wouldn't have the hero be responsible for most of the akumatisations and that's already a pretty vast improvement skjfghjk

once again a nice analitic and well thought video, i hope to see more conted from you 🦊 , but the same time il would want alya to be the main character not because i don't want to but because the writer have a way to make alya give up on her miraculous and that is just plain stupid, season 4 already ruined the chances for the show to get good, *sigh* i hope there will be a reboot BONUS TIME: 0:14 you toke my words from my mouth for this one, i think Adrien should be the main protagonist, but as Cyrus said, the writers already character assassinate him 2:13 completely disagree with bell bell here, the way time travel works on this show doesn't make a lot of sense, and how master fu** can easily recognise marinete, and making this the reason just make this show a big mess

I agree with your statement Adrien should've been the main character plus he has so much more backstory than Marinette. Marinette has a perfect life while Adrien can't even have breakfast with his OWN FATHER and has to deal with losing his mom and becoming cat noir while his father his hawk moth. So much lore with this family that can't even be discovered because the show is only focused on Marinette 💀. Anyways your scarabella design is so cute ♥️

To this day I haven't gotten over that the script didn't let Alya defeat Hack-san (along with Cat Noir) without Marinette showing up to save the day. Is it really that hard to let another character be the protagonist just for an episode? Is it that hard to leave Marinette out for just one episode?

Another way to make Marinette interesting besides having her redeem Chloe, is make the stakes higher for her, like, have Shadow Moth or however he calls himself now put one of her parents in a coma, causing her to become more agressive, eventually dealing with it and asking Su Han for training for her and Chat, but she will still be focused on bringing Moth to justice, regardless of who he is, which could be a source for conflict between her and Chat in the aftermath of it. One other thing i would have done is flip the script and have either Chloe or Lila find out she is Ladybug instead of Alya, by way of her getting seriously hurt and end up detransformed in front of either of them due to injury. Either of them, Chloe or Lila would help her because, despite hating Mari and Ladybug, Lila would realize she doesn't want the kid dead, have Moth also harm people for good measure or even Lila's mom or Chloe's dad, so they can see Moth is willing to go too far even for them, have either Chloe or Lila start building a relationship with Mari from there and, have Mari be akumatized and have to give the Ladybug trinket to Chloe or Lila temporarily and them giving it back at the end of the episode, or episode arc, cementing the trust between them. For a bonus, have the chosen girl visit Mari's room, see the stalker wall and comment on it, something like, "Huh, that is kinda creepy, even if you like the guy, you do know he likes Ladybug, right?" Hilarity ensues. Though, that would be more interesting for Lila, adjustment could be made if Chloe were put on that story.

I guess she’s the focus because originally she was the focus when miraculous was going to an anime

Now I want to read a fic where Alya is the Lady Bug. And I think that the ship with her and Adrien would be cute.

Its so sad thinking about what this show could have been, reading fiction, watching KZread videos, I've seen people come up with better stories and plot.

Also, Alya could've gained the Ladybug Miraculous like in Origins (Part 1) when Marinette thinks that she isn't ready to be Ladybug, and she also wants to put her Miraculous in Alya's bag. 🦊
