The "4 altruist grant 40% more total health" is wrong. It should be ~24.2% for Bard and Zoe, ~22.2% for Riven and ~21.6% for Tahm Kench if there are NO other armour/MR buffs on them.

I get these numbers by using the formula "(New dmg taken% - Old dmg taken%) / Old dmg taken%" , which then simplified to "(buff value)/(100+buffed defence value)" So it will be 40/165 for Bard and Zoe, 40/180 for Riven and 40/185 for Bard, if 4 Altruist is the only factor.

​@@missingeel Armor and MR scale HP linearly. One point of armor = 1% increase in effective HP. Tahm Kench (45 base armor/MR) goes from 100% to 145% effective HP. Altruist (85 MR) makes that 100% to 185% eHP. So it is a flat +40% eHP if seen from baseline, so he's not wrong I think?

@@natriumon8487 uh, the thing is right now the situation is you go from 145% eHP to 185% for TK, since Altruist does not contribute the first 45% which is the base armour/MR

or just let me rephrase like this: on the first glance the "40% more" wording seems to imply it is equal to a 1.4x multiplier , but in reality it is a ~1.216x - 1.242x multiplier. So I just reflectively said it is wrong.

I didn't get why he didn't put the Altruist slat on Bard, especially when he had Rageblade - did I miss something?

Honestly, you're probably good enough to get to Masters. It's just a question of how many games you play. I felt the same climbing with some bad days losing 60lp, but then I just climb a rank the next good day. Play until you lose, mental reset, and see if you get lucky the next day. No need to grind out games when you know you're not winning recently. But otherwise, you're probably earning on average more lp than you're losing so take your time and climb, King. Masters is where you truly find out if you're hard stuck or not. Every set I get there, I struggle to get past the 100lp mark :(
