The way I view the song (and I think it's true given Madeline Follin's history) is that the singer is so obsessed with her significant other, but he doesn't care much for her at all. He's emotionally abusive and neglectful, but the singer is so manipulated she can't see it. She just wants him to love her the way she loves him, and throughout the song she begs him to just come and show her the love she shows him.

This cover reminds me of my old roblox friends but the one that hit the most was a girl named Audrey i met her in royale high she was super nice and kind I also met her other friends and we hang out a lot sometimes they would make dirty jokes and I got used to them we played for months and I used most my time to play with her and her friends everyday after school or when I woke up I would get up and play Royale high just to see her and her friends they also grew attached to me everyone kinda dated and I was single so I felt left out a few days of the months it got super awkward with me bc I always saw them dating and at the time I was single but they still made me happy then it got really awkward I just stopped showing up and stopped seeing her friends but I texted her in the game from time to time one day I went to her apartment we had fun but then there was a huge fight between me and them I was so sad so I left the next day I went online to say sorry and so did she so I went and joined their Royale high server everyone ignored me for most of the time I went out and found a new friend I brought her to them and they had fun with her while I was in the background we played for a few days after I just took a break from Royale high and when I came back she wasn’t on my friends list I guess she un-friended me idk why.. she also found new friends and after that I turned quiet in Royale high like I never talked unless it was just small chat or people I could trust once I met her in a Royale high server and I didn’t notice it was her until I looked at their name to friend them and saw it was her I told her it was me she didn’t recognize me until I told her and she said she has to go so I said okay a few moments later she left and came back I was still there than she left and I guess went to a new server? I still miss her and her friends they were so kind to me if you are seeing this ivxis I hope you are okay and I forgive you and your friends for everything I hope you forgive me for being such an annoying person I know I bothered you a lot but I was just lonely and had no where else’s to go you were my life/purpose to live and I know this sounds edgy but this is how it feels to lose a friend even if they were made online every friend matters don’t take them for granted because when you lose them is when you’ll want them back🥺
