All you do is use the toilet brush like a plunger. This will cause the water to recede.

I'm a housecleaner. This is not really necessary unless you never clean your toilet. I just cleaned a rental unit that was unoccupied for 3 months and the toilet was disgusting. I just used The Works toilet bowl cleaner from dollar tree

I use Bleach in a spray bottle.

You can also turn off the water valve in the back of toilet then flush and get the same results 😊

Mate everyone's toilet looks 'clean' before cleaning and disinfecting. If it's filthy before u clean it then that's nasty and u gotta clean it more often lol...

All European’s can ignore this since we have the “after” amount of water to start with!

Plunger does the same... plus saves the extra bucket of water🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Fairydonut6552 detergent needs water to activate otherwise it doesn’t really do much.

After you did that, the water was at the level it usually is in UK toilets. I thought the toilet was blocked the time I first went to the US 30 years ago. 😂

Yea you could bend over turn the water off then bend over and turn it back on afterwards. Or, you could just fill a bucket with water dump it in and proceed to clean your toilet.

Broke the cheap, plastic handle off yesterday doing that. Metal replacement. Much better.

Why not just flush the toilet, and then turn off the tap at the back of the tank?

There was no difference between the before and after in your toilet. You just wasted a bucket of water. Toilets are made to keep the same level of water in them at all times.

Because you want it to be dry before you store it in the holder. Bacteria grows In dark, wet or damp places. It also helps prevent odor.

This assumes the bleach’s reactivity is linearly related to its concentration, which is not the case. The video is false.
