Agree about "All is soft inside"! It is one of my favs too! So energetic and it also brings out Auroras great voice!

sometimes her lyrics are just about an abusive relationship between two people (churchyard), or just about physical pleasure (gentle earthquake) not always so big as world dynamics. but also, she does leave interpretation to the listener. Great reaction to my personal favorite live Aurora performance.

Great comment! Those subjects are very important too, but yeah, not everything is about saving the planet or mankind. Aurora does seem to represent mother nature at times, but that's not her only interest.

This mini concert was my very first experience with Aurora, as I've been subscribed to KEXP for years. The rest was history. How could you not fall in love with her and her music after this performance? I remember watching the video for The Seed right after seeing this, and being convinced that she was actually the real Princess Mononoke from the Studio Ghibli film. I only found out later that she is a big fan of Studio Ghibli films. Also, if nobody else has mentioned it, Bjork was in attendance at this show. She's also a fan of Aurora.

I'd been waiting for you to hear and experience this performance by AURORA! I discovered her all the way back in 2015 when she was first played on WLIR here in New York... and she has been lifting my spirits ever since! Her LIVE performances are only enhanced by her Backup Dancers... her stage presence is always fantastic, so they can't be better, but her Dancers, especially when she interacts or synchronizes with them adds an extra flavor to her appearances. FORGOTTEN LOVE with her dancers on Hos Lindmo was exquisite (and my personal favorite rendition). Very nice reaction 😀 I think "20th Unforgettable Gala" should have been in the title of another video? That Gala seems to have been in Dec 2022, while this Aurora performance was on Nov 8th 2018 at the Kex Hostel in Reykjavik - Iceland, and the festival was called "Iceland Airwaves 2018". This is from the KEXP article about the show: "The room was insanely packed as Aurora took the stage. Even the legendary Björk was in attendance, solidifying that, yes, this artist is a big fucking deal (yeah, I freaked out a little bit too). By no surprise, Aurora lived up to the hype."

Great reaction, so glad you did the whole thing. I don't know if anyone ever told you that Aurora took dance lessons for 10 years, 6 to 16, she really loves to dance. Your comment about her clothes, she never buys new clothes, she shops vintage and/or 2nd hand stores and gives new life to old clothes or her sister makes her clothes based on what Aurora wants. As for her loving performing, you can definitely tell she does, she loves her songs, she calls them her children and that gives her the ability to really pour the emotions into her performance, IMO. Anyway, I hope I wasn't telling you something you already knew.

There exists quite a few great songs that rarely get requested due to few live versions or just being overshadowed by other songs. Like "infections of a different kind", if you want something to analyze, that is the song

she got out a new single recently, 'your blood'. thanks for come back to aurora. i think, your interpretation is a bit to generic, to say the least. you could put anything in a box labeled 'mother nature'. orgasms, domestic violence, etc.. all could be placed in this giant box.

Gentle earthquake doesn't speak mother earth to me the lyrics say Orgasm ie Opening flower , purple on pink and more . relisten without pausing it instead of trying to work out the lyrics while she's performing then that way you might get it. PS I couldnt work out who got more airtime , you or Aurora lol . Your working those Algorithms on this one.

Guess you are going to be like so many other reactors on KZread. At least you did react to Park Ki Young 3 times. I’m not going to say every reactor but I will say most reactors say how great Park Ki Young is and they can’t waiting to review more of her songs. They go on to even ask their listeners to suggest which songs they should react to next. Well I have learned my lesson! After doing some digging around and analysis I post in comments songs & links only to waste my time. Most of you reactors forget about Park Ki Young and do not review her again. Don’t ask for your listeners for their song requests when you know you are not going to play it unless you get paid to!
