    I completely agree. The only thing I've really noticed are the alloy shocks and more durable and tend to leak less. They really shine with heavier shock oil. I put 60 weight in all of mine. It feels like a 6s arrma now. I think arrma made the shock piston holes too large

    @DoRC I definitely recommend it. It completely transformed mine. Anything less than 60 weight felt too bouncy. Maybe m2c will develop some shock pistons eventually. They're very easy to bleed to. They're bladderless and have a relief cut into the threads for easy air bleeding.

    @CLOSER1313YO Yeah it's actually a pretty common comment that I get. Whenever I'm testing something out I'm usually durability testing it and it's just not really a valid durability test if you're landing perfectly every time. There's also a little bit of the fact that I'm recording while driving and standing 45° offset from the ramp so it's kind of challenging :-) Glad you enjoy!

    I'm a sucker for aluminum shocks. The suspension is one of the most significant subsystems that makes a hobby grade RC car perform, and for me a nice set of aluminum shocks brings that into focus. Now if i were getting the Grom for my kid I wouldn't buy these unless the plastic ones were breaking, but if it were for me I would indulge myself with the purchase!

  • @DoRC

    @DoRC

  • @justinalvarado7351
    @justinalvarado73515 ай бұрын

    The solid composit links are made to break. BTW that is the point. I used the Vorteks Boost links on my 3s Vorteks and snapped the right rear on first run. I get is cost wise, really cheap and quite frankly an easy fix. Alloy links are durable and in this case you'll more then likely never snap one on that truck. That being said I did snap an alloy turnbuckle just reciently on my Vorteks. That brand I got was very cheap $10. so you get what you pay for. I bet big bore shock would make a difference. springs as well.

  • @DoRC

    @DoRC

    5 ай бұрын

    That hasn't really been my experience. In my experience the solid plastic links flex so they're actually less likely to break or bend and stay bent than the adjustable ones.

    Thank you for charing, I just got my grom, I did i keept the stock shocks, but i did change the oil fluid on them i actually put some diff oil 4000cst. seems like 50wt on a teton. so yes i like it, the only thing is that the chocos on the front are to tight, I don't know how to chagne that, i see some people cut the spring. or something like that. I need to do more research.

  • @DoRC

    @DoRC

    4 ай бұрын

    I wouldn't cut the spring. A shorter spring will actually be stiffer than it's longer counterpart because there is less material there. I haven't really noticed that the front springs are too stiff I noticed that the rear springs aren't really stiff enough though.

    It's a pretty tough truck and yes it does need thicker oil especially in the rear. I like to review things as they come because That's how a lot of people will run it. There are a lot of KZreadrs out there that make tweaks and adjustments to the setup in the background and Can lead to people having different experiences from what they see on videos. • @DoRC

    @DoRC

    6 ай бұрын

    @jakecivis7402 For sure. Shock oil is always a balancing act between off-road handling and jump handling. The shock oil is Pretty nicely tuned to handle the bumps off-road and going thicker will likely decrease that ability but it just depends on what kind of bashing you're doing.

Now FMS dropped a cool mini MT and how can you not love the mini LMT . Too many rcs not enough room or money 😂😂😂 if I only learned to sell them like a lot of us do . Any one have a lot of experience with the regular LMT , I keep skipping gears in the tranny without messing breaking teeth , first I shimmed , than new input gear now going change the ring ( you should do them together) I think the tranny itself is flexing when it warms up , not sure , I should’ve just bought complete assembly, also a favorite “ rcs come along way they pumping out some cool stuff
