Aluminum Air Battery 3.0

Ғылым және технология

3D printed? Check! Catalyzed? Check! This battery has it all. Join me as I present my latest complete homemade battery. This battery takes advantage of the many improvements I’ve explored over my previous videos and brings everything together into a single package. I had a lot of fun putting this together, and not to mention learned a ton while I was doing it. I hope you enjoy the video as much as I did. Cheers!

    Haven't watched the full video yet, but a couple of tips: 1. Please lock the camera focus and exposure so its not constantly trying to "focus hunt" and periodically go out of focus briefly. 2. You may want to do something about the slight echo, using a lapel mic, or having a shotgun mic closer to your mouth, or using echo-cancelling filters in post.

    Thanks for the tips. Video making is definitely something I'm new at so this helps alot. Do you know of any good softwares for echo removal? I've had a hard time finding a good one.

    @@MechanicGoneRogue in audacity, Adobe premier pro and various other audio or video editing software, there may be a plugin called "dereverb". In some cases it might be preinstalled but in other cases you might need to download it.

    If you are recording a talking head video you should probably try improve the original audio instead of using filters, it's always the best approach

    Maybe try using voltage to train the cells & then charge them and see how fast the charge dissipates

    Why the baking soda? Wouldnt that decrease the recharge? Or is it meant to be disposal?

  • @MechanicGoneRogue

    I was working off the theory that alkaline electeolyes are better than neutral ones. The baking soda is meant to make the electrolyte alkaline. Although it's only mildly alkaline it's meant to be a safer easier alternative to KOH.

    How long does the graphite last If under constant use?

  • @MechanicGoneRogue

    @MechanicGoneRogue

    Ай бұрын

    I can't say I've measured that before. The best I could say is that after a couple days the salt starts to seep through the graphite which embrittles it and reduces its performance. Hopefully that helps answer your question.

    Did you make the graphite sheet and treat it yourself or is that in another video?

  • @MechanicGoneRogue

    @TheWizTechGaming the graphite sheet is purchased from Amazon. There's a link in the video description if you want to see it for reference. I did the MnO2 treatment myself. The process is outlined in an earlier video titled "making an aluminum air battery catalyst".
