Well, I live in America, but I've always wondered why SEGA never tried to make a roller coaster based on the franchise. Especially over here on my side of the planet.

Alton Towers home to the Europes first inverted rollercoaster (Nemesis), the worlds first vertical drop rollercoaster (Oblivion), the worlds first flying rollercoaster (Air/Galactica), the worlds first vertical freefall drop rollercoaster (Th13teen), the worlds first 14 inversion rollercoaster (The Smiler) and the worlds first fully dedicated VR rollercoaster (Galactica)

I was there that year 92 with my mum and sister it was a promotion day there wasn't the volume of people there it was just of season mid October it was better than other times been not much queuing to get on rides got on most of them but to do the lot you need 3 days at least that was 25yrs ago i hope to take my girls there one day soon.

the orginal tune is Edvard Grieg "In the hall of the mountain king" from Peer Gynt. Every time i play that in the orchestra i immediatly think of alton towers. They have marketed it so well no one actually realises its a cover or a orchestral tune but thinks it as "Alton Towers Theme" hehe!!

Never been to Alton towers. Never been to the UK... actually I rarely leave southern california. But when I saw Nemesis I recognized it instantly. I used to work for Six Flags Magic Mountain. We have a coaster just like it Batman the ride.

Rita was never actually the fastest ride or ever even had a title. Oblivion was built before it and was always much faster.

I went there yesterday, galactica was by far the best

One day I found a yellow smiler lollipop in my mums car

I thought oblivion did actually top nemesis, the adverts freaks me out, and the smilers advert aswell. "Join us" pure nightmare fuel.

There's something oddly creepy about all these adverts, is Alton Towers the scary theme park perhaps it has something to do with being in Shropshire, or the Hex Story?

They really should have just put a little shot of Sonic The Hedgehog in the toy land one I mean he is in it at one point in a mega drive while Sonic 3 plays
