Alto 800 is a class. I took my brother's car from Chennai Avadi to Medak near Hyderabad city at one go. Except for a total of one hour stoppage for refreshments. We crossed 1160 kilometers in 19 hours.. I could continuously drive this car at 90 to 100 kms absolutely without any problems.. It's the best car of the middle class segment.

It's a good car for long travel for 4 members, if we travel at 90 to 100km/h speed means we can cross 60km/hr,but 80-90 speed was good to travel for all, its give gud mileage, safe travel, good handling, good control for us.

I owned Alto k10 for almost seven years, it’s a budget friendly car and didn’t give me trouble for all those years and mostly I used in highways and never had problems. 20+ Mileage in highway, I used to drive at 80 to 85 kmph.

I learnt car driving from this car.. one thing I found slightly difficult is stearing control.. especially if u r taking u turn u have to rotate it a lot.

Alto was my first car.. in my opinion it's the most value for money car.. I have done 45k km.. before I sold it... In my opinion it should be everyone's first car .. So never regret buying Alto.. I also have aulto k10 car .. it is very good car for daily office use and in side Chennai city,and it is very good choice. Just go for it if your purpose fit in this criteria. Good and budget car .. if you have little extra budget just go for Tiago middle variant.

I 💗💗💓 alto. Alto 800 it's a middle class peoples hero. Cool& nice performance fuel economy and also eligible for long drive. Yes my bro is having alto 800 he was driven 840 kilometers in a day continually with 4 peoples the car was giving a wonderful experience. Yes he was maintain 90 to 100 kmph speed the car performance is very very excellent and moreover he was overtaking innova xylo and some other big cars easily. My rating for ALTO *****. Great review. Great owner views. I have a BS6 alto purchased in April 2021. I've driven close to 6000 kms. Owner aced his views on the car. 1. Non touchscreen system has very very very good audio output to speakers. Bro install component speakers for front, damp the front doors using mats and thank me later. I've JBL GTO series. As you say no use of touchscreen without steering control. 2. The car is very much sufficient for one or two persons travelling in city traffic. 3. No parking related issues. Just stop it in small gap and you can go and do your work or shopping. Open parking No issues or worries with Alto. 4. Bs6 tuning is excellent for F8D engine. It is more peppy. I used 2009 Alto before. 5. Best for 2 adult and 2 small kids less than 10 years. 6. Mic quality of OEM in VXI is excellent. 7. With Alto one can NEVER go wrong. It does the same job as any other car in city use with more easiness and peppy way. No turbo spool and gear change issues. 8. Second 5000 km service cost for me was 200 as hygiene fees. 9. Car has EXCELLENT AC. I also own a Punto. I'm not at all disappointed with this car. I love low slung position of driving. Alto gave me that surprisingly. For highway please avoid this car. But this is a pocket rocket inside city.

I always love Ford after spent too much money on Ford..rented this car from coimbatore airport to Ooty..I would have saved lot of money if I would have bought the Alto 800 earlier..romba nalla car..zero maintenance..when I was using ikon..every now and then I go to mechanics shed.but now I have bolero and this one..really good..my mind is free of maintenance issues..

True Alto is mainly aimed at first time car buyers and middle class families. So cant go beyond 5 lakhs and expect more options and features. For a family of 4 Daily city usage and Occasional Short Highway drives Alto is enough. When 4 people want to travel They can't opt buses trains and metro. And even going in Cabs regularly makes us to think why don't we get a car within 4 5 lakhs. People looks for more features and safety but in reality they know this is what they need and buys alto happily

I purchased new Maruthi Alto in 2011 and til date I am using.Generally use for city driving , occasionally for long drives. It is good for a small family. The service is also good. My usage is less. The car gives a good Srvice.

Frankly speaking:i had this car and driven around 70k kms in long drives(850 kms per trip)compared to other cars,1)maruti should concentrate on steering calibration(at cruising speeds) and hardness of brake(cant able to brake confidently at high speeds(100-110))..2)Due to under weight ,this car gives somewhat flying (midhakkura maari) during cruising at highways...3)at single lane SH,people should carefully overtake while driving this vehicle Highway stability is poor...but for hill drive this vehicle is ok,there is no torque deficient while travelling on hills(dont put AC while on hills) It gave approx 21 kmpl in NH and 18-19 in cities(AC off) Body roll-evident Finally,maruti should improve ncap rating for this car..

Yes single lane over taking need to be careful, not much issues in city traffic and toll Highways. Need to control steering at high speeds as it is lite.

I want to share something with you. I also have the same tale like him. Basically I am a car enthusiast. I like and love to drive the car very much. In my in my automobile life I crossed lot of treason and sorrows. Like him I also owned second hand car.None other than ritz. From the time of purchasing onwards I started to spend money in it. But it never gets stopped.this tale get continued till 2 years. After spending nearly 1 lakh we can't get any peace with that car. So we came to one conclusion. That is none other than exchange. By giving that we bought Swift 2019 vdi. That is too costly for us. But we never regret with that. Performance wise it gives me lot of fun. The same time mileage wise it keeps me calm. By owning a diesel car I must run 1000 km per month. But now my situation is not too good to have a long trips. In future definitely I will make lot of road trips with my fire Red Swift. One small sample for the mileage and it's comfortness. I started my journey from Salem to Tiruchendur.at 6 am and I returned to Salem at the same day 11.30 pm. Mileage 26 to 28. Except my eyes no other parts in my body get tired.

Which budget car we can choose if we go for long drive?

Sir I am used for 3 yrs in this car good for all time.but spacious is less but more efficiently.small family it's OK.
